Summary

Elias grew up in a deeply religious family, where every thought had to be controlled and every deviation was seen as sin. Sent to a strict pre-military academy built on discipline and conformity, he learns to become what he’s expected to be: proper, composed, invisible. Then he meets Johann. Confident, distant, and impossible to define, Johann doesn’t follow the systemβ€”he simply exists outside of it. He doesn’t need to break rules to defy them, doesn’t seek conflict, but never fears it. There’s something in the way he looks, the way he thinks, the way he moves through the world that draws people in without effort. And Elias can’t ignore it. What begins as curiosity slowly turns into something deeper, something he cannot explainβ€”and more importantly, cannot control. Because the danger isn’t just in Johann’s presence, but in what he awakens: questions Elias was never meant to ask, feelings he was never meant to have. The attraction between them isn’t just forbiddenβ€”it’s impossible in the world Elias has always known. Torn between faith, rules, and desire, he is forced to choose: remain loyal to what he’s been taught, or accept what he truly feels. Because sometimes, the greatest battle isn’t against othersβ€”but against yourself. A story of forbidden love, desire, acceptance, and quiet rebellion, stolen glances and unspoken tension.Of touches hidden away from a world that would never understand them. Not a story about sinβ€”but about the moment when denying the truth becomes impossible.

Prologue

β€œBefore Everything”

There are loves that should not exist.

Not because they are wrong.

But because the world around them doesn’t know what to do with them.

It breaks them.

Hides them.

Turns them into something you’re supposed to fear.

And yetβ€”

they appear.

They don’t ask for permission.

They don’t wait for the right moment.

They happen.

That’s how this story began.

Not with a choice.

With a glance.

One that lasted too long.

One that said too much without saying anything at all.

And from that momentβ€”

nothing was simple anymore.

Because between them there wasn’t just desire.

There was struggle.

With rules.

With people.

With a place that teaches you not to feel.

And, most of allβ€”

with themselves.

Elias was raised to believe.

In order.

In discipline.

In God.

In the idea that there is only one right path.

Johann was raised to survive.

In pain.

In control.

In corrections that were never about healing.

In the idea that what he feels… must be destroyed.

And yetβ€”

they found each other.

Not in a place that allowed it.

But in a place that punished any deviation.

And they chose.

Not to save themselves.

To feel.

Even if that meant losing themselves.

They burned fast.

Intensely.

Without measure.

They touched each other as if it were the first and the last time at once.

And thenβ€”

they were forced to break apart.

Not because they didn’t want each other.

Because the world around them decided they weren’t allowed.

This is not a story about beginnings.

It’s a story about what remains

after you’ve lost everything.
