Bear is a one-of-a-kind hero; the way he communicates with Candy and protects her—while still pushing her to find her own strength and freedom—is beautiful to watch. The internal struggle Candy goes through is so vivid that I found myself wanting to reach into the pages and talk to her! I know she’s a character, but the writing makes her feel like a real person. She isn't perfect; she hesitates and goes back and forth, which makes her journey feel authentic rather than just a plot point. Every character in this story has their own distinct wants and needs, making the entire world feel grounded and real. If you love deep character growth and a romance that truly earns its ending, you need to read this!"
