Summary

Fay Thompson built her life from nothing. No family, no money, no safety net. Just intelligence, discipline, and relentless determination. When her groundbreaking idea finally earns recognition, she enters a world ruled by power, and by Nickolas Young. Nickolas doesn’t chase. He doesn’t hesitate, and he doesn’t do halfway. So when he chooses Fay, he doesn’t date her, he marries her. What begins as a ruthless, calculated alignment becomes something far deeper. Fay refuses to be absorbed into his world, holding firmly to the life that shaped her, the orphanage, the children, the values that made her strong. Instead of changing her, Nickolas does the unexpected as he steps into her world. And stays. Together, they build more than success. They build legacy. The children Fay once stood beside rise with them, becoming powerful in their own right, proving that opportunity, without privilege, defines greatness. But in a world where power is constantly questioned, Fay must prove she belongs, not as Nickolas’s wife, but as his equal. Because this was never about being chosen. It was about choosing him back.

Author's Note

You might notice a familiar energy, something close to a work-in-progress I already have, but this one is entirely original.

If you know me, you know I always come back to certain characters I love writing. There’s always a version of Nickolas Young, just like there’s always a version of Jordan Steel.

And somehow, in every world I build, there’s always a story where it’s Nickolas & Fay… or Jordan & Fay. Different timelines. Different settings. Same intensity. Same kind of connection that doesn’t do halfway.

This one is no different.

The Woman He Chose is about power. It's also more than that; it’s about certainty. About two people who don’t fall in love… they decide on it.

I hope you fall into this story the way I did while writing it, and as always, I’m looking forward to hearing what you think.
