We experience the story through the eyes of its protagonist, Maxx, an immortal being who, despite everything he must have endured, still shows remarkable character, chivalry, and gentleness. It’s those small moments, the quiet ones, the lingering thoughts, and the people you meet throughout a very long journey, that truly shape a person into who they become and make you reflect on life. I will definitely be following Maxx on more adventures."

The nuances subtly setting the scenes in the period you were writing, your ability in just a few words being able to draw a person into your story and giving us a sense of being within it. It was very heartwarming and extremely enjoyable, how each characters personality shone through with a few descriptive words. Thank you for such an enjoyable story and I will definitely be reading your other stories especially where your main character appears. 💜"

"I love the time travel aspect (HUGE FAN HERE) and I am glad that I found this author because he writes it so beautifully. This whole book was heartwarming and gave real feels that I loved because even though I am a woman I was able to connect with the lead man Maxxx and JJ is really good at 'reading' what you're into and suggested this based off what I write and he nailed it. Also, I absolutely love the ending!"

"I am on a journey with a black wolf, a Prince among his own kind. I learn things about Maxx DeSilva with each new chapter I read. He is many things to many creatures and humans alike. He has lived centuries, seen it all, done it...twice, three times, a hundred times. With this new offering, we see another more gentle, reflective, almost emotional side of our resident shift-changer. This story actually made me think. I know, a shock to those who really know me. I'm not all that deep but within these pages, I found a certain type of peace and serenity of my own, as a writer. I learned that a whisper can speak louder than any strong, commanding voice. I learned, slowing things down sometimes makes a story remarkably lovely. That simple things, the things we allow pass us by each moment of the day, are the real things which we should truly treasure. Seems trite to say it out loud but the truth is, seen through the eyes of Maxx DeSilva, an immortal who, in this tale...took the time, slowed his obligations and life...sit by a stream and really listened to the sound of the earth's movements. And found his greatest joy there? Maybe he is trying to tell us something important. I am so happy this author gave us this part of the wolf/man that is Maxx DeSilva. Warrior, Prince, invincible being...at his most content, finally...after all the battles and loss and tragedy. He found a moment just for himself. I wanted this for him, I just didn't know it until this installment. I thank the author for his insight into his own creation and for allowing Maxx to teach this weary world...maybe there is hope if we just...take some time to see things as they can be. Put down the phone and look into the eyes of the person across the table. It really is important. that's why I gave this book five stars across the board. It deserved it. "
