Chapter 1
One morning, Abdulla misunderstood something Mr. Saleh said. He thought Mr. Saleh was telling him to go to school immediately, even though it wasn’t the right time yet.
After Abdulla is in room , his mom called the school and spoke with Mr. Saleh to understand what happened.Later he said in a calm but serious way. He said, “Abdulla, you are not listening careful and . That’s why mistakes keep happening. If you don’t pay attention, you might get a zero in your work then I will not help you.Before leaving Microsoft Teams, Abdulla quickly told his friends—Abdulrahman, Mansour, and Naser—through Discord that they were still in online classes He explained that he was about to leave because he was going to school
After Abdulla got dressed and put on his kandura, his mom told him it was time to go. She sent him to Abu Dhabi Secondary School A few moments later, they were sitting in the car together
Abdulla and his mom were sitting in the car outside the school, waiting calmly for the special education teachers to arrive for the meeting.They asked why Abdulla didn’t come to school from October 10 to 14. They also reminded them that Abdulla is in Group B and must follow the correct schedule.Mr. Saleh or Mohammed Ibrahim explained that Abdulla should not bring his phone into class unless it is needed for learning or approved by the school. He said, “It is better to keep the phone with your mom during school time so you can focus on your lessons.”She said to her son, in a calm way, “For a short time, let your auntie Venus keep your phone with you In the reception area, Abdulla and his mom were getting ready to leave after the meeting.

He wanted to make sure Abdulla settled properly before his mom left the school. As he stepped inside, he looked around the classroom. Then he saw Hamad. He noticed some familiar classmates, including Hamdan, Waleed, Nahiyan, Humaid, and Ahmed Mohammed. He felt a bit more comfortable seeing familiar faces,At 11:00, the fourth period Math class finished.Later, the bell rang for the fifth period, and the students moved to their next class: Arabic.In the Arabic class, the teacher announced that they would do a short test or class assessment The students quickly became quiet and focused. Abdulla opened his school laptop and got it ready, following the teacher’s instructions The teacher reminded everyone to stay focused, work individually, and not talk during the assessment.After the Arabic assessment, the bell rang for Islamic class. During the Islamic class, the teacher asked the students to open Alef Education on their school laptops. Abdulla opened the platform on his device and logged in carefully. The class was quiet as everyone started their online activities.At 12:30, the school break started and students left the classroom to relax and eat. Abdulla stayed in class with the others, but he noticed that Hamad didn’t talk to him. After the break ended, the bell rang and the students went back to class for Physics with Mr. Firas he entered the classroom with a serious look and asked everyone to sit down quickly and be quiet. The class settled, At 1:25, during a short pause between lessons, Nahiyan looked out into the hallway of Grade 11 and noticed Mr. Henok walking past. and He was moving through the corridor, The students settled back into their seats as Mohammed Ziad entered the classroom. He greeted the class and asked everyone to get ready quickly for the lesson.After the math explanation, the teacher instructed the class to continue their work on Alef Education.The students opened their school laptops again and logged into the platform. Abdulla followed along, entering the assigned lesson At 2:10 pm, the school day ended and it was home time.After school ended, Abdulla walked out and got into the car that his auntie came to pick him up On the way, he found out he had completed 40 lessons in Alef, and he felt happy hearing that kind of progress When he reached home, his mom was waiting for him. She said, “Congratulations, you got 40 lessons in Alef.”
A few moments after Abdulla got home, his phone saw his message on Discord It was Mansour he asked Abdulla for help with an Alef lesson and sent some of his answers to check if they were correct. Abdulla looked through them carefully and explained which ones were right and where he needed to fix mistakes After Abdulla helped him, Mansour replied, “Thanks a lot, I’m grateful.That evening, Abdulla spoke to his mom and said that tomorrow morning he wanted his auntie to pick him up again for school.

Around 8:00 AM, Abdulla has online class and realized he might be late for his Group B online class. He went to his mom, a bit confused, and she gently corrected him, saying he should follow the proper schedule and not mix things up between school and online class.She reminded him firmly that he needs to go After Abdulla got ready quickly and everything was settled at home, his auntie arrived to take him to school.After Abdulla entered the school, he was briefly called to meet Mr. Hamzeh, the principal Mr. Hamzeh looked at him kindly and said that he was aware of Abdulla’s situation and confirmed that Abdulla was not absent without reason. The students of 11/D moved to the math computer lab for their lesson Abdulla reached the classroom area After the math computer lab session, the schedule moved on to Health Science The students of 11/D settled down in the classroom as Mr. Sean arrived. He greeted the class and asked everyone to get ready for the lesson.During the Health Science lesson, Mr. Sean asked the students to continue their work on the LMS (Learning Management System) using their laptops. Abdulla opened his school laptop and logged into the LMS platform. At 9:55 AM, the school bell rang and it was time for a break and The students of 11/D closed their laptops When the break finished, the bell rang and students returned to their classrooms Abdulla went back with his classmates, wondering whether the next lesson would be Art, Drama, or Music. The schedule sometimes changed, so they waited for the teacher’s announcement.A few moments later, the teacher informed the class that they would have a creative subject activity (Art/Drama/Music session). At 11:00 AM, the students of 11/D had Physical Education. The class moved to the PE area, where the coaches were already waiting. They explained that today’s activity would include Jiu-Jitsu training. The coaches greeted the students and asked them to line up properly. Then they came into the classroom area briefly to take attendance and also capture a group photo of 11/D before the activity started.Later, Abdulla was one of the first to take photos during the Jiu-Jitsu session. He stood at the front of the class near the wall, where the coaches had arranged a spot for pictures. The background was clear,After a few classmates took their turns, it was Hamad’s turn.Before the photo, Hamad carefully removed his glasses and kept them aside so they wouldn’t get damaged during the Jiu-Jitsu activity. Then he stood at the front of the class, wearing The coach made sure he was in the right position, and the photo was taken.At 11:45 AM, the Jiu-Jitsu session came to an end. The coaches told the students that the activity would continue tomorrow, so everyone should be prepared for the next session.Right after the Jiu-Jitsu session ended at 11:45 AM, the students quickly returned to class.At 11:46 AM, the Chemistry teacher came in.then At 12:30 PM, the Chemistry lesson ended.The bell rang shortly after, and it was time for break.After the break ended, the bell rang at 12:40 PM and the students returned to their classroom for English.Mr. Henok entered the class.In the English class, Mr. Henok explained the instructions clearly. He told the students to either use their course book and workbook or continue with Alef Education, depending on the task he assigned.At 1:25 PM, the English lesson ended. Mr. Henok asked the students to finish their work, close their books, and submit their Alef activities. The classroom became a bit noisy as everyone packed their things. Shortly after, they prepared for the next session: CDI (Character and Development/skills activity).In the CDI session, the teacher introduced a new activity using Fusion 360 The students opened their laptops and launched the software. At 2:10 PM, the CDI session finished.
In the afternoon, after school had finished and Abdulla was at home, his phone buzzed with a Discord message from Mansour.asked for help with an Alef lesson, Obviously Abdulla opened each screenshot and looked at them carefully. He didn’t rush—he tried to understand to Mansour After Abdulla explained the screenshots and helped him understand the Alef lesson, Mansour replied on Discord. He said, “Thank you for helping me… you are a good friend.”Abdulla saw the message and felt happy that his friend appreciated the help.

Abdulla entered the school wearing his kandura. As he walked inside, one of the staff members (a principal/administrator wearing glasses) noticed him and asked, “Where is your uniform?” The question was asked because they expected students to be in their school uniform during the school day.It was now CDI for the first period. The teacher arrived and asked the students to get ready with their laptops. Abdulla opened his laptop and prepared for the lesson. The class began with instructions for a new activity, 8:30 AM, the class had Math, and most of 11/D moved to the math computer lab for the lesson. Hamad and the other students went together to the lab to continue their work on computers and math activities. However, Abdulla did not go with them this time. He stayed with his special education support After the math computer lab session finished, 11/D came back to the classroom. Hamad and the other students returned first and settled back into their seats At 9:10 AM, the students of 11/D had Chemistry. Obviously The Chemistry teacher arrived and the class quickly settled down. Abdulla In the Chemistry class, the teacher announced that they would do a short quiz/test or class assessment.The students became quiet and focused.At 9:55 AM, the Chemistry les ended and the bell rang for break time.At 10:15 AM, the break ended. The bell rang and students returned to their classrooms. 10:15 AM, after the break ended, the students returned to class for Physics.Moments later, Mr. Firas entered the classroom. The students settled down and got ready for the lesson. He began the class by explaining the physics topic At 11:00 AM, the Physics lesson finished sometimes sometimes other classmates in 11/D grabbed Hamdan Waleed’s hoodie and uniform and saw his boxers At 11:01 AM, the bell rang and the students moved quickly into their next class: Arabic.The Arabic teacher entered the classroom The teacher started the lesson and then gave an important announcement, saying that the final exams for Term 1 will be on November 18.At 11:45 AM, the Arabic lesson ended After Arabic finished, the schedule showed PE (Physical Education) for 11/D. Most students got ready to move, but 11/D stayed in the classroom for a while At 12:30 PM, the Jiu-Jitsu PE session ended. After the Jiu-Jitsu session ended at 12:30 PM, the bell rang and the students went for another break.In the Math lesson at 12:40 PM, the teacher instructed the students to continue their work using Alef Education.
On Thursday, 21/10/2021, there was no school because it was the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (Mawlid), which is a public holiday.
At 1:25 PM, it was the last period of the school day, and the students had English with Mr. Henok. entered the classroom and asked everyone to settle down. Then he gave instructions, saying the students should work on Alef Education or their assigned English tasks.During the school day, Abdulla stayed focused on his lessons and did not open Discord because he was at school.At 2:10 PM, the last period ended and the school day finished.After school finished at 2:10 PM, Abdulla went home briefly and then got ready to go out again. Later, his auntie took them to ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) because his grandmother had a second vaccine there.While they were at ADNEC, Abdulla took a short moment and checked his phone messages on Discord. He saw a message from Mansour, asking for help again with his Alef Education work. At ADNEC, Abdulla heard about someone going to take a vaccine appointment But when he checked the information, he realized the vaccine at that time was only available for ages 19 and above.After Abdulla’s grandmother finished her second appointment at ADNEC, the family prepared to leave They went out together and headed toward Airport Road. The message was about whether mang had taken her second vaccine dose, and also asking if Abdulla could help find information about buying a school uniform, possibly by checking with classmates he read the message carefully and understood both requests. He replied that he would check with his classmates In the taxi, after Abdulla saw the message about the school uniform, he replied asking where it could be bought. Later, Mansour and some classmates responded, saying that school uniforms can usually be found in places like Al Wahda Mall or other nearby shopping malls that sell school supplies and uniforms.Abdulla read the replies and understood the options. He kept the information in mind so he could tell his mom When the taxi finally arrived, Abdulla and his grandmother Uray reached home They stepped out of the car Inside the home, Abdulla’s mom went into his room to check on things and make sure everything was in order after the long day Meanwhile, his grandmother spoke calmly and mentioned that Ms. Maria would be coming soon to stay for reparation /traveling for Philippines for good . She explained that it would be similar to Ms. Laila, the assistant teacher, who had stayed around July–August 2021 before later going back to the Philippines.Ms. Maria, who was Abdulla’s teacher in Skills Development when he was 3 to 4 years old

The teacher for Social Studies entered the classroom of 11/D Later in the day, 11/D had English with Mr. Henok.He entered the classroom He then instructed them to work on a PDF worksheet / digital file activity for English.In Discord during the school day, Mansour sent a message asking, “Where is Abdulla?”and Abdulrahman replied, telling him that Abdulla was at school and busy with his lessons in 11/D.After the English PDF activity was completed, the lesson ended At 10:15 AM, the bell rang and it was break time.and The students of 11/D closed their laptops Nahiyan looked at Hamad and asked him what song he was listening to earlier.Hamad said Baby Shark When the break ended at 10:15 AM, the bell rang and the students returned to class. He also mentioned that he had been calling Abdulla’s name to ensure he didn’t miss the pickup. After everything was cleared up, Abdulla’s mom spoke about Mr. Saleh while they were still in the car. She said that Mr. Saleh had been waiting carefully to make sure Abdulla was picked up safely, and that he really cares about his students and always tries to look after them
After getting the school information from his classmates, Abdulla later went with his mom and auntie to a uniform shop They arrived at the store and looked around for the correct school items. The staff helped them find the official school uniform and pants that Abdulla needed.After they finished at the uniform shop, Abdulla was sitting in the car with his mom and auntie on the way home.He started asking about his cousins, Jing and Yang, wondering if they were at home.His mom replied gently, saying “No, they are not at home because they already went to work earlier.”Meanwhile, when Abdulla arrived home, he went straight to his room with the new items he bought.He tried on his school uniform and pants to check the size and make sure everything fit properly. His mom and auntie looked at it and helped him see if any small adjustments were needed.His grandmother said she would wash the uniform and pants first so they would be clean and ready for school use.Yes — since the uniform is now ready, Abdulla’s plan is to wear it on Sunday for school.At home, Abdulla checked his Discord messages and saw his classmates chatting. Abdulrahman, Mansour, Hamad, and Naser were talking about school and the Group B schedule for next week. They were trying to figure out who would be attending in person and who might still be online Abdulla entioned that he hoped to be in Group B at school, so he could see Mansour in class. Naser also said he might be going back to school and asked if he would meet everyone there.

The Arabic teacher from grade 11
In an interview, it was mentioned that the UAE National Day 50th school party would continue the story from where Grade 11/D General left off. The Senior 2023 storyline was planned to be followed by another sequel, Grade 12 (Final Year), which was released on August 28, 2022.
At the time, this was considered the final chapter of the 2023 school series. A spin-off film titled “Mansour Goes to HCT”, released in August 2023, was also confirmed.
Originally, the spin-off was planned to take place between Grade 9 General and Grade 10. However, due to continuity issues with the final year storyline, the timeline was adjusted.
Instead, the spin-off was moved earlier in the timeline, taking place before the events of the original schools, including Al Mostaqbal School, Al Suqoor School, and the broader secondary school system (Cycle 3).
