Hello!
My name’s Valor!
And I was once on an important mission to find a magical mountain named Nate so that my 5 traveling companions and I could ask Nate about some potentially magical happenings that had been happening lately!…
See, a powerful-looking creature had approached the castle that my companions and I lived at, and we had never seen such a creature before and didn’t know what species the creature was from…
But the creature was very big, had a mouth that could easily gobble up humans in one bite, and the creature had looked up hungrily at the humans who had been looking down at the creature from the top of the castle.
Now, the creature hadn’t actually behaved super aggressively, but aggressive behavior seemed like something that the creature might do eventually…; and the creature had circled around the castle and pushed against parts of the castle as if checking to see if the castle had any weaknesses…
But, anyhoo, that wasn’t what had led me to think that magic might’ve been involved at all, because I hadn’t even believed in magic!; but, see, then my wife Valorie, a woman named Judy, king Alexander (who’s married to queen Alexandria), and I had all followed the footprints that the powerful-looking creature had made when the powerful-looking creature had approached the castle; and then we had discovered that the footprints had abruptly stopped! for some unknown reason!; and there were possible non-magical explanations for how the footprints had ended where they had ended, but the 4 of us had still quickly begun thinking that the odds that magic was real were higher than we had previously suspected because of how strange and unexpected it had been that the powerful looking creature’s trail of footprints had ended where they’d ended instead of continuing further on…
And so then we had all decided to go back to the castle and then follow the footprints that the powerful-looking creature had made when the powerful-looking creature had gone away from the castle!…
Just kidding!…
Haha!!…
Because there was no way whatsoever that we were going to try to follow the creature and get gobbled up!, because that would’ve been crazy!…
Though, I mean, we did have cloaks with us that had a formula on them that a couple of scientists named Tina and Trent had created; and that formula had been designed to prevent predators from approaching us (though the formula hadn’t been well-tested yet); and so if we had wanted to test out how well the formula might work then we could’ve followed the footprints that the powerful-looking creature had made when the powerful-looking creature had gone away from the castle; but that would’ve been a very silly thing to do, and my wife Valorie and I are mostly known as being advisors at the castle, and so why would advisors be silly enough to do a silly thing like following a powerful-looking creature in order to test out whether a formula that was on our cloaks would protect us from being gobbled up or not?…
But, anyhoo…; what we actually did once we got back to the castle was the 4 of us first reported what we had discovered to queen Alexandria, and then we went over to where 2 folks named Alara and Alan lived at in the castle because the 2 of them were people who we knew believed in magic!…
And so then we had talked with Alan and Alara about magic for a while, and then they had told us about the magical mountain named Nate who might be able to give us more information about magic; and so then Alara, Alan, Alexander, Judy, Valorie, and I all ended up setting off on a quest the next morning to travel to ol’ Nate in hopes that they would be able to tell us what was going on with the powerful-looking creature and with other potential magical happenings that we figured might be on the move!…
Oh, and it’s worth mentioning that queen Alexandria had wished that she could come along, but her staying at the castle to keep things from becoming destabilized at the castle had been too important for it to be wise for her to come along on the quest with Alexander, Judy, Alara, Alan, Valorie, and I…
Oh!; and, also, Alan and Alara had also told us that the powerful-looking creature might’ve arrived to where they’d arrived at through a magic portal and that magic portals could sometimes lead to lots of travel by lots of various creatures from one place to another, and they had also said that other magical happenings might accompany the magical portals if there were magical portals near the castle; and other magical happenings could be things that might be as crazy as a chair coming to life and then fleeing the castle and telling us that we weren’t going to be able to sit on them anymore because they were free now!…
Oh, and Alara and Alan had also informed us that a magical mirror named Rori had told them everything that they knew about magic and that Rori had lived inside of their abode inside of the castle for a while but had then ended up leaving the castle to visit with family and friends…
Oh!; and the part of the magical mountain named Nate that we were supposed to try to talk to once we would reach our destination would be a part of Nate that’s shaped like a giraffe!…
And I was actually very curious to discover exactly how much like a giraffe that part of the mountain looked like!…
But, anyhoo, back to the quest!…
Valorie, Judy, Alexander, Alara, Alan, and I had just exited the castle, and we were now traveling towards where the magical mountain named Nate was at!; and, since Nate was 60 miles away…, we expected to reach ol’ Nate at some point the next day; and we had packed up all of the supplies that had seemed sensible to bring with us, and all of us were wearing cloaks that had the formula that Tina and Trent had created on them, and so hopefully that formula would turn out to be effective and would prevent any predators who we might encounter from attacking us!…
Well, it turned out that the first hour or so of our quest was pretty pleasantly uneventful; but then, suddenly!, I spotted an alligator who was nearby where we were!; and the alligator was moving straight towards us!, and I could tell that the alligator was aware of our presence!…
“Ummm…” I said as I moved one of my hands towards my sword, “We’ve got alligator company, and so everyone just be real chill, okay?…” and then Alara said, “Nice!…
I mean, this should allow us to figure out whether these cloaks work or not, right?…” and then I said, “Just be ready to use your weapons if necessary, alright?…” and then Alan said, “Weapons?!?…
On an innocent alligator!…
Hmph!…
If that alligator gets close enough to prove that our cloaks don’t actually prevent predators from approaching us then you 5 just move away from the alligator and allow me to handle this situation in a more humane way than using weapons against the innocent creature!…” and then Valorie said, “For some reason, I don’t think that the creatures who’ve been gobbled up by this alligator think that this alligator is very innocent at all…” and then Alan said, “But we can’t blame the alligator for eating food to survive though!…” and then Alexander said, “I’ve kinda got a soft spot for alligators, and so I’m kinda with Alan on this one, to be honest…” and then, suddenly!, the alligator stopped!…
And then the alligator turned a bit as if to try to approach us from a different angle, but then the alligator couldn’t seem to find an angle to approach us from that the alligator found to be satisfactory!…
And then the alligator began moving away from us…; and then I said, “Well, I’ll be darned…
It seems as though the formula that Trent and Tina made is actually pretty effective at preventing predators from approaching anyone who’s wearing cloaks that have the formula on them!…
Or, it seems to be effective against SOME predators, anyway…
Because it’s possible that it’s able to prevent some predators from approaching folks but doesn’t prevent all predators from approaching folks…
But still!!!; this is quite a win for the formula, I’ve gotta say!…” and then Valorie said, “It sure is!…
And, I mean, if the formula really does somehow actually work against ALL predators then it could perhaps be the key to keeping everyone at the castle safe during these unusual times that we’re currently in…” and then Alan said, “Precisely!…
And I have a feeling that we will be encountering more predators before this quest has been completed; and I really hope that the formula works so that I don’t have to step in and stop y’all from killing any innocent animals during our quest!…
Hmph!…” and then Judy said, “We’ll try to avoid killing any animals, Alan, but it wouldn’t be wrong for us to defend ourselves if we were to be attacked…” and then Alexander said, “Well, at least we shouldn’t have to defend ourselves from any alligators because of this formula!…” and then I said, “Yes indeed!…
The alligators should be safe!…” and then Alara said, “Very good!…
Safety first for us!, and safety first for the alligators!, and hopefully safety first for all of the other creatures who we might encounter too!…” and then Alan, Judy, Alexander, Valorie, and I all voiced our agreement with Alara’s words as the 6 of us continued walking towards the magical mountain named Nate…
