A Must-Read Dark Romance with Depth and Soul
"A story that draws you in with every chapter and doesn't let go until the very end. With each new chapter, fresh questions emerge, mysteries begin to pile up, and the intrigue only grows stronger you literally wait for the next chapter the way you wait for a new episode of your favorite show. The author skillfully measures out information: just enough to keep your attention, but never enough to fully satisfy your curiosity. The characters deserve a special mention. They are developed so deeply that they come across as real people with their own fears, desires, and contradictions. This is exactly what so many stories in the dark romance genre lack in the ones I've come across before, the characters often remain shallow, like cardboard decorations meant only to serve the romantic plotline. Here, however, every character has their own backstory, motivation, and inner conflict, and you can feel it in literally every dialogue. The world in which the events unfold is no less impressive. The depth of the universe blends beautifully with hidden details and subtle hints of magic, not intrusive, but atmospheric, adding a special charm to the story. The personal stories of the characters are woven naturally into the broader fabric of the world, and at some point you catch yourself not just reading, but actually living in this place alongside the heroes. The shock and disgust toward Erebus build up with every chapter exactly the way it should be with a truly well-crafted antagonist. The author isn't afraid to show him in all his ugliness: each new appearance provokes a stronger reaction in the reader, from chills to genuine inner resistance. And this is precisely his strength as a character, he's not just a "bad guy for the sake of it," but a fully developed figure of evil, thought through to the smallest detail. His actions, his manner of speaking, his motives, everything works together to provoke a vivid emotional response. And that, in fact, is the mark of a masterfully written antagonist: when you don't just understand that he's a villain, but actually feel it in your gut. In stark contrast to him, Christophe embodies the image of a true knight not a cardboard hero in shining armor, but a living person with firm values and an inner code of honor. He isn't perfect, and that's where his real beauty lies: he has doubts, weaknesses, moments of inner struggle, yet his moral core remains unshakable. Christophe is the kind of character you want to believe in and follow. His principles aren't pompous declarations, but something he genuinely backs up through his actions, even when it costs him dearly. It is precisely this confrontation between Erebus and Christophe that becomes one of the strongest aspects of the story. Their storylines are like two opposing forces of nature, bound to collide eventually, and every scene between them is an emotional jolt. Through this contrast, the author raises important questions about the nature of good and evil, about what makes a person truly human, and about the price one has to pay for staying true to their principles. As for the romantic line, it is exactly what a dark romance should be: intense, ambiguous, with the perfect balance of darkness and tenderness. The emotional rollercoaster works at full force, and at times it genuinely makes your heart ache. In conclusion, I can confidently say that this story is absolutely worth reading and will not leave any reader indifferent. I would gladly watch a screen adaptation (the material truly deserves one) or at the very least buy the book in paperback so it could take its rightful place on my shelf."

"I liked the assist and the goal what I didn’t like was the descriptive attempts they were unclear and forced. They were clearly forced and drawn out. There should have been a better backstory to who the characters were. The girl is she the princess or the fiancé to the crown prince. Or is it the queen we really don’t know. it’s a lot of speculation to run with. Why are we supposed to know that her hair is importance. Are there people rarely with silver, blonde hair . Though it’s not an anomaly we are supposed to believe it is. "
