Summary

Offline, Ken is forgettable. Quiet, distant, and almost invisible in the noise of everyday life, he spends most nights hiding behind the glow of a monitor under the online name H3ad$h0t — a player feared for impossible reflexes and perfect aim. For Lilly, gaming is the one place she never has to pretend. Under the name PixiePearl, she’s loud, chaotic, emotional, and impossible to ignore, even if in real life she keeps that part of herself carefully hidden from everyone around her. What begins as random late-night matches slowly turns into something neither of them expected. Through ranked queues, glowing screens, quiet hallways, and sleepless conversations, two lonely people begin finding comfort in each other across the space between online and offline worlds. GG is a multimedia-inspired light novel blending: 🎮 gaming culture 🌧 neon late-night atmosphere 💜 emotional slow-burn romance 📖 visual novel storytelling ✨ anime-inspired aesthetics A story about loneliness, synchronization, identity, and finding someone who understands you through the screen. Different worlds. Same time. The whole project started from two EP albums with 5-5 tracks, I'll probably add to the chapters. You can also find this project on TT as ggprojectandcomics. This is for fun, so have fun.

Headhot

The room was not dark.

Not completely.

It had the kind of half-light that only existed after midnight, when the world outside had gone flat and silent, and the only things still awake were screens, LEDs, and the low electric hum of machines that had forgotten how to sleep.

Red light breathed across the walls in slow pulses. It crawled over the edge of a cluttered desk, caught on the rim of an empty energy drink can, reflected faintly in the lenses of a pair of glasses folded beside the keyboard.

A school bag sat collapsed near the chair like it had been kicked there hours ago and forgotten immediately after. Half-hidden beneath a loose strap, a stitched patch glowed under the monitor light.

H3ad$h0t.

Online, that name meant something.

Offline, he was Ken.

And most days, Ken felt a lot smaller.

He sat low in his chair with one knee pulled against his chest, fingers loose around the mouse. His hoodie hung around him in dark folds, sleeves covering half his hands. Short black hair fell messily over his eyes, faint bluish strands catching whenever the monitor brightness shifted.

Without his glasses, his face looked different.

Sharper somehow.

Less hesitant.

The match timer blinked in the corner of the screen.

00:07.

Voices exploded through his headset.

“Left side!”

“He pushed mid!”

“WATCH THE CORNER—”

Ken listened to all of it.

Not the words.

The panic underneath them.

People always sounded different when they were afraid. Faster. Sharper. Desperate to sound certain even when they weren’t. Fear had rhythm. Hesitation had patterns. He noticed those things automatically now.

His thumb adjusted slightly against the mouse.

Correction.

The enemy would not come from the left.

That call had been wrong immediately.

00:05.

His teammates kept talking over each other.

Ken stopped listening.

The screen stayed still for half a second longer.

Then—

There.

A movement so small most players would have ignored it completely. A shoulder clipping past a doorway. One careless frame before cover.

A mistake.

His mouth tilted into the faintest smirk.

Not confidence.

Recognition.

The red crosshair reflection stretched softly across his forehead as if the game itself had marked him.

00:02.

Click.

The shot landed before the screaming started.

HEADSHOT.

The word slammed across the screen in violent red.

Victory erupted in his headset instantly.

“NO WAY!”

“BRO WHAT WAS THAT?!”

“He doesn’t miss!”

“Clip it! Somebody clip that!”

Ken leaned back slowly while the victory screen flooded the monitor in blue and crimson light. His username climbed to the top of the scoreboard again, numbers stacking beside it like proof.

Kills.

Accuracy.

Damage.

Proof that H3ad$h0t existed.

His phone buzzed on the desk.

Then again.

Then again.

He glanced toward it without touching it.

Notifications flooded the lock screen faster than he could read them.

NEW FOLLOWER

MATCH CLIP TRENDING

H3AD$H0T IS INSANE

NO HUMAN REACTION TIME

One repost already had thousands of views.

Ken stared at the screen for a few seconds.

Then quietly flipped the phone face down.

The room softened immediately.

Without the flashing notifications, there was only the low monitor glow, the faint warmth from the PC under the desk, and the distant rain tapping gently against the apartment window.

Someone in voice chat laughed loudly.

“Queue again?”

Another voice answered before Ken could.

“Of course he’s queueing again.”

H3ad$h0t always queued again.

Ken rubbed his thumb slowly against the edge of the mousepad.

At school, nobody looked at him the way players looked at his clips.

Teachers paused before saying his name sometimes, like they needed to remember where he sat. Group conversations flowed around him naturally, without cruelty exactly, but without stopping either.

Ken had learned how to exist quietly inside noise.

Online was different.

Online, people waited for him to speak.

Even if he rarely did.

“Yo, H3ad$h0t?”

A pause.

“You there?”

Ken blinked once.

“…yeah.”

His own voice sounded softer than he expected.

The lobby instantly came alive again.

“There he is.”

“Bro hard carried.”

“That flick was disgusting.”

He did not know how to answer compliments anymore.

So he stayed quiet.

People usually filled silence for him anyway.

His cursor hovered over the queue button.

A simple click.

That was all it took for the world to become understandable again.

Maps made sense.

Angles made sense.

Movement had logic.

People made mistakes in predictable ways.

The game world obeyed rules that real life never seemed interested in following.

Here, Ken always knew where to look.

His finger pressed down.

QUEUE ACCEPTED.

A soft electronic sound echoed through the room.

The next lobby loaded slowly across the monitor in fragments of blue and red.

New usernames appeared one after another.

A few recognized him immediately.

holy shit h3ads$h0t??

gg already lol

carry us king

King.

Legend.

Monster.

Funny how strangers online could believe in him so easily while Ken still struggled to answer simple questions in class without rehearsing them first.

He reached toward his glasses automatically.

His fingers brushed the frame.

Then stopped.

Not yet.

Offline could wait a little longer.

The countdown appeared.

10

Ken sat up slightly straighter.

9

The room faded away around the monitor glow.

8

His breathing slowed.

7

Teammates already argued about strategy.

6

He ignored them.

5

The map unfolded in his mind before it loaded onscreen.

4

Routes.

Sightlines.

Patterns.

3

Places people thought were safe.

2

The red monitor light painted sharp lines across his face again.

1

Ken disappeared.

0

And H3ad$h0t moved first.
