Part1 β The Abyss Legacy
Chapter 1: The Beginning From the End
Several years had passed since Markus became the Sea King.
Under his rule, the ocean kingdom entered an age of prosperity unlike anything seen before.
The once-small reef villages had transformed into magnificent underwater cities connected by glowing coral pathways and ancient tide gates. Massive crystal towers rose proudly from the seabed while sacred whale spirits guided travelers safely through the deep currents.
Peace had finally returned to the ocean.
And for the first time in generationsβ
the people no longer feared the sea.
At the center of this flourishing kingdom stood the grand Coral Palace, home of the Sea King himself.
Markus had changed greatly over the years.
The young warrior once burdened by fear and uncertainty had matured into a calm and respected ruler. Though the Seal of Heaven still rested within his soul, Markus no longer relied solely on its power.
He ruled with wisdom.
With compassion.
And beside him through every momentβ
stood Queen Sofia.
Sofia was admired throughout the kingdom not only for her beauty, but also for her intelligence and strength. Before becoming queen, she had been the daughter of a great general, raised among warriors and strategists. Even after marrying Markus, she continued helping govern the kingdom, solving disputes and guiding nobles with remarkable grace.
The people often called them:
The Twin Pillars of the Ocean.
Together, they brought stability to the sea.
Using spiritual energy and wave manipulation techniques taught by Markus, the kingdom advanced rapidly. Workers moved enormous structures using controlled currents while powerful cultivators strengthened the coral barriers protecting nearby islands.
The ocean kingdom grew richer with every passing year.
Eventuallyβ
the horrors of the great tsunami became nothing more than distant history.
But destiny never sleeps forever.
One peaceful evening, golden light illuminated the royal palace as Markus stood beside Sofia overlooking the endless ocean.
Sofia smiled softly.
βThe kingdom feels peaceful tonight.β
Markus nodded quietly.
βFor onceβ¦ it truly does.β
Sofia leaned gently against him.
βYou still think too much.β
Markus laughed softly.
βAnd you still notice everything.β
Before Sofia could respondβ
a palace guard suddenly rushed into the chamber.
βYour Majesty!β
Both Markus and Sofia immediately turned serious.
βWhat happened?β Markus asked.
The guard bowed quickly.
βThe royal healers request your presence immediately.β
Markus frowned.
βThe healers?β
The guard hesitated briefly.
βItβs about the princessβ¦β
A few moments later, Markus and Sofia hurried through the palace corridors toward the royal healing chambers.
Inside, several aquatorsβthe kingdomβs greatest healersβstood nervously around a small cradle.
Sofiaβs expression instantly softened.
Inside the cradle slept a newborn girl peacefully beneath glowing sea silk blankets.
Princess Anna.
Markus approached carefully.
βWhatβs wrong?β he asked quietly.
The eldest aquator lowered his head respectfully.
βWhen the princess was bornβ¦β
His voice trembled slightly.
ββ¦her breathing stopped.β
Sofiaβs face immediately turned pale.
βBut then,β another healer quickly added, βsomething impossible happened.β
Markus looked toward them sharply.
βThe princess suddenly began breathing again on her own.β
The room became silent.
βBut her spiritual energyβ¦β the elder healer whispered nervously. βIt changed.β
Markus frowned.
βWhat do you mean?β
The aquator hesitated.
βWe cannot explain it properly, Your Majesty.β
He looked toward Anna carefully.
βHer body appears normal from the outsideβ¦β
The glowing water around the cradle rippled gently.
βBut something within her soul feelsβ¦ different.β
At that exact momentβ
Anna slowly opened her eyes.
Soft silver light shimmered within them briefly before fading away completely.
The entire room froze.
Even the ocean currents around the chamber trembled slightly.
Markus felt his heartbeat stop for a moment.
Because deep within Annaβs tiny spiritual presenceβ
he sensed something ancient.
Something familiar.
And somewhere far beneath the deepest abyssβ
crimson eyes slowly opened once more.
A dark voice echoed through the endless void.
ββ¦The vessel awakens.β
