~ Chapter One: Happy Birthday ~

It was on the first of June 2018-Sadie’s sixth birthday-that she received the present that would change her life. A gift from her grandmother, Rosemary.

Sadie was sat on the floor of the living room in her house with her grandmother and her parents, Steven and Patricia.

“Go ahead. Open it.” Said Grandma Rosie-that’s what Sadie called her grandmother.

Sadie peeled the tape off the lavender-coloured wrapping paper; Sadie’s favourite colour. She continued to unwrap the present gently. Sadie liked to keep the wrapping paper afterwards, so she tried her best to avoid tearing it.

Inside was a knitted blanket. It was dark grey with a red border around the edge. There was even a little hooded bit for her to put it over her head, so she could wrap herself in it completely.

“Happy birthday, Sadie.” Said Grandma Rosie.

Shawna: I really enjoying reading this book, I read it twice back to back just in case I missed something lol. Mira & Devryan are actually perfectly fit one another, even when they tried to deny it. Walker of the Dark: Short but definitely intense and amazing. Rage and Aspen were amazing together and I am glad to see a woman who is strong, determined on what she wants and well connected as a bonus. Also enjoyed seeing how even the Mafias is not all "stable" and how a bad bean can spread like wildfire if not contro...
