Chapter 1:Soft Life & Silence
Sienna Blake lived the kind of life girls reposted on Pinterest boards.
Her flat overlooked the glittering lights of London, her wardrobe smelled of expensive perfume, and every photo she posted looked effortless. Designer heels lined her closet like trophies, and her TikTok comments were always full of girls asking how she stayed “so unbothered.”
Truth was, Sienna had mastered the art of looking fine when she really wasn’t.
Rain tapped softly against her bedroom windows as she sat cross-legged on her silk sheets, laptop open, phone buzzing nonstop beside her. Brand emails. Event invitations. Men complimenting her photos.
None of it impressed her anymore.
She reached for the black diary resting beside her candle and slowly flipped it open. The pink ink of old entries filled the pages — heartbreak, fake friendships, loneliness hidden behind lip gloss and luxury.
Tonight, she wrote only one sentence.
“Maybe being unbothered is just another way of hiding pain.”
She stared at the words for a long moment before closing the diary shut.
Her phone lit up again.
Theo Bennett.
The name alone tightened her chest.
Three months ago, Theo had been everything. Late-night drives through Chelsea, surprise flowers, forehead kisses, promises whispered like they’d last forever.
Now he barely replied to her messages.
Sienna inhaled sharply before tossing the phone aside. She refused to cry over someone who had already started forgetting her.
Downstairs, the city continued moving like nothing was broken. Cars passed. Music echoed faintly from nearby flats. Somewhere in London, people were falling in love while hers quietly fell apart.
She walked towards the mirror near her wardrobe and studied herself carefully. Long dark curls, glossy lips, flawless skin, expensive satin robe.
A beautiful girl.
A tired girl.
And somehow, both at the same time.
Sienna gave herself a small smile anyway.
Because girls like her were never allowed to fall apart loudly.
