Middle life for Funny Man

This story contains themes of: depression, eating disorders

Summary

The next morning, I woke up in a bed next to Arwen's. I reach out gently taking her hand, pressing her hand to my cheek. As, I get better, I silently put my ring on top of her chest. Tears silently running down my cheeks. I shouldn't be the first person she sees when she wakes. Either way she probably hates me by now. I got a job offer that will pay for her hospital bills. I looked down at her peaceful face, and couldn't help but kiss her on top of the forehead. "I guess this is goodbye, I love you more than you'll ever know." I look back at her as, I leave knowing that she would most likely hate me for the rest of my life.

Waking up

Sorry, that this chapter is so short I got writers block 🥲

Arwen's P.O.V

I woke up in a hospital bed. My throat hurts so much. I try to cry out for Dylan, but nothing comes out. I weakly look around the room.

He's, not here tears stream down my face as, I look around for him. I, look down at my chest and see the ring that he had, been looking at for months. Always hinting at giving me the ring.

I, silently put the ring on my finger. Looking, at the beautiful ring on my finger.

Dylan's P.O.V

I, was laying on the couch of my new apartment. When I suddenly get a phone call from the hospital. I look at my phone contemplating whether to answer it or not. "Hello, this is Dylan Alvarez speaking."

As, the nurse on the phone talks to me. I could hear Arwen's voice crying out for me. I grit my teeth silently hanging up. Why does she even want me?

It's, my fault, she's hurt!

Maureen: I liked how the author described how the characters were feeling. How there decisions and actions were influenced. This story would be a great movie, though I'm not sure how a movie could portray the emotions and inner thoughts of he characters as well as this story has.

S.TYTECA: I really enjoyed reading this book! The story was engaging and kept me interested throughout. There were a few minor spelling errors here and there, and some parts felt a little drawn out for my personal taste, but that’s purely subjective. Overall, it was a lovely read, and I genuinely enjoyed the ...
