"Another story. This one is as interesting and hilarious as the last one. Rain was beautifully written with her fears, insecurities and her own temple with the different goddesses. Touching the topic of Cults and how much power and corruption they truly hide, how difficult it is to escape, not only physically but also mentally was... *Chef's kiss*. Still love how she Ted-talked herself into trying something new and also how she found her escape in her writing and books. Love how she and Scarlett formed a peculiar sisterly bond. Now Grimm, he was a fun one to read. How he is so different from Axle and yet similar in how they were both convinced that they didn't deserve good things and the Trust they show each other during several scenes (specially a particular one, that required a LOT of trust). His emotionally constipated personality was lovely to read and how he too was fine with learning new things just to make his woman the happiest. Recommend? 100% Yep but once again this is smutty with the added risk of laughing out loud in public so beware."

"The connections this author weaves in her stories between the characters are amazing. Not just the romance between the main two, but building on the previous book and adding more people into the sons of ash family. Steamy scenes drew me in, emotional connections kept me around. "

"I love all of the characters in this series so much, but Rain and Grimm’s story has hit the hardest for me. I was never in a cult, thankfully — but I was religiously abused, made to feel broken and unholy for being human. I’ve been her, to an extent. I see myself in her, in the meekness — though I considered myself more like a feral cat than a mouse, all claws to any who came too close to me — and in the defiance and rebellion. This is an extremely personal and heartfelt thank you, author, for publishing something so beautiful. And a very hopeful note that I would LOVE to see Sydney and Voss find themselves beset by feelings, too. I love them so much 🥹"
