The Road to the Invitation

Against You

As always, she was wearing her black stiletto heels, walking down the stairs. She had on a long, elegant dress that hugged her body, with a backless design that extended down to her hips. It felt like this look reflected her soul. Suddenly, Nisa quickened her steps and ran toward the wide, green garden where her father was. She placed a big kiss on his cheek. Fuat Abi had a stern appearance, just like his daughter. With his green eyes, black hair, pinkish lips, sharp nose, and tall, strong build, he was quite an attractive man for his age. His only weakness was his daughter. Nisa’s mother had died in a car accident when she was 9 years old, and Fuat Abi and Nisa, who survived that accident, had grown up deeply bound to each other.

While Fuat was holding Nisa, his smiling expression suddenly turned into a serious gaze. He looked toward the garden gate, as if someone he was expecting had arrived. Nisa, unconcerned, sat back down. Yes, a man was coming. She was surprised because she had never seen him before. The man arrived and sat down, and they began talking. Meanwhile, Nisa was quietly sipping her tea. The only thing she understood at that moment was that there would be an important evening invitation. She didn’t care much and stood up from the table, walking toward the entrance. She took the key to the night from her bag and got into her car. “Night” was her RS7. Since it was completely black and she loved cars, she had named it Night. She connected via Bluetooth and played her music, gliding through the streets of Beykoz…

Nisa had arrived at the company and was handling her work. Her father would not be coming to the company that day. Suddenly, her phone rang. It was her father.

— Hello.

— My daughter.

— Yes, Dad?

— There is an important event tonight. All the elite families will be there. I’m letting you know early so you can get ready.

— Okay, Dad. I kiss you, I’ll get ready.

— Alright.

— Oh wait, what time will we leave, Dad?

— We need to be there by 5, my dear.

— Okay, Dad, see you.

— See you.

Nisa hung up the phone and quickly went shopping.

3 hours later…

It was 4 o’clock. Nisa was almost ready. She left her hair straight as always. She wore a silver sequined, thin-strapped dress, and paired it with single-strap high heels. Her makeup was simple and natural. She was already shining enough. Now it was time to go downstairs. When she came down the stairs, Aras was waiting for her—and falling in love with her all over again.
