As if transported into an Irish folk tale. The good sort thereof!
"The Dark Side of Cinnamon by Jennifer L. Rowlands `Frogs tell the best jokes?´ - A punchline we may all get back to, soon. Each time I am into review-swapping, there is this moment of relief, when the review I write is not cheating the readership. When the story, the author reviewed, and my true opinion of a worthy reading are authentic. Here, this seemed harder than it really was, as different genre preferences and different text length preferences can be obstacles. The story has a good flow, proper grammar, and no format issues. The context draws us in, as the characters and Bonkerts are lively enough to enjoy reading. The familial setup and the visitors quickly reminded me of the Irish kobolds, and also of a childhood classic from Germany, wherein Craftsmen master Eder meets Pumuckl, a formerly malevolent kobold now convinced that saving the old widower is the right thing to do. Jennifer L. Rowlands has a wonderful writing style, takes care to deliver refined stories, and also takes time to answer questions. Such fits the mom, dad, and the kids meet mystery, wonder, or humor of this story, and I am certain I do not overstate, when I hint at checking out more of her works can be worth it, to most readers!"
