Introduction
After the great global environmental disaster planet Earth was thrown into a mini ice age. Only the hardiest creatures survived. The rats who did survive remember the details only too well. Another terrible bit of history that the humans brought about.
Grumthorpe city is surrounded by barren wastelands with the threat of death at every turn. Rats and humans compete for food or space and this presents the humans with a big problem. Typically, they opt for their usual solution: extermination!
The rats are left with only one escape, to stow away aboard a spaceship bound for a distant galaxy in the hope of finding safe refuge on an alien planet. When every enemy is larger than you, ferocious aliens, killer cyborg cats, mad scientists and a hateful human crew you have to be smart to survive. But will their self-serving rat ways bring about their own extinction?
