PROLOGUE: THE VOICE BEFORE DEATH
“I just wanted… another chance.”
Those were the final thoughts of a boy named AJ.
He was never special. Not in school. Not in life. Not in the world that always seemed too loud, too fast, too unfair.
But he had a dream.
A world with magic. With swords. With dungeons. With adventure.
Every night, he closed his eyes and imagined himself walking through forests glowing with mana, standing on cliffs where dragons flew across crimson skies, and holding a blade that could cut destiny itself.
But reality was cruel.
And reality did not care for dreams.
The sound of footsteps echoed in his home.
AJ walked up the stairs, tired, distracted, his hand holding his phone as he searched for another fantasy novel.
ThenA slip.A mistake.Gravity betrayed him.“W—what…?”His body fell backward.
Time slowed. At the bottom of the stairs hidden under shadow
A pair of scissors.Metal glinted.
Then
A sharp, sickening impact.
Everything went white.
No pain.
Only silence.
And in that silence… a voice spoke.
