Chapter 1

Black. Darkness. Eyelids fluttered open. The first thing Jenna noticed wasn’t something she could see through her blurry vision; it was a smell. A sterile smell. Like that of a hospital.

It wasn’t the familiar scent of her home.

Why did this place smell like a hospital? Did she get into an accident?

In an attempt to clear her blurry vision, she lifted her hand, only to find that her arm was strapped down. She couldn’t move it. What the…?

She tried to move her other arm and it was the same. Why would she be strapped down?

Fear started to seep into her veins. The last thing she remembered was going to bed in her tiny apartment. Now she was in some strange hospital place strapped to a bed? Wait, was it a bed?

It wasn’t soft.

She soon realized she was lying on hard metal. Hard cold metal. She knew it was cold because she was clothed only in her bra and panties. That realization turned her bubbling fear into straight up panic.

Her chest heaved with anxious breaths as she tried to pull free of her bindings. Her vision was becoming more clear now. The room didn’t look like any hospital room she had ever seen. It looked more like a laboratory.

And she was the science experiment.

This can’t be happening. This can’t be happening. Please tell me it’s a bad dream.

But it didn’t feel like a dream. It felt real. From the tight straps around her wrists to the cold metal against her bare back.

Suddenly a door came open and in walked a man. He was much older than her. His dark brown hair was peppered with grey strands here and there. He was dressed in a white lab coat. He looked like a doctor but something told Jenna he was no ordinary doctor.

Maybe it was the eerie smile he gave her when their eyes met for the first time. It wasn’t a warm and friendly smile. It was a smile of pride or perhaps excitement.

“Ah, you’re awake!”

“Where am I?” Jenna asked.

“I hoped it wouldn’t take too long for you to come to. I want to get started as soon as possible,” said the supposed doctor.

“Where am I??” Jenna repeated.

“My name is Magnus Greer. But don’t worry yourself about telling me your name. I know all about you. After all, I was the one that chose you.”

Chose her? What did he mean by that? And why wasn’t he answering her question? Where the heck was she?! What was going on?!

“I don’t understand. This… You can’t–You can’t do this! You have to let me go!” she stammered out.

“Now, now, Jenna. I know this must be a scary situation for you but trust me, your purpose is of utmost importance. It may very well change the world as you and I know it.”

Jenna’s eyes followed him as he stepped over to a nearby counter. He picked up what appeared to be a chart. He studied it a moment then turned his eyes towards her.

“It’s far too much for me to explain. Too much information for you to take in all at once. But in simple terms, you were chosen for your fertility. You see, I’m a geneticist and I’ve created a near perfect specimen. But beautiful in all his wonder, he isn’t without flaws. You will remedy me of those flaws. Because you have been brought here to bear his child.”

Jenna’s breath caught in her throat. She couldn’t be hearing this right. It sounded like something out of a science fiction movie. She was chosen for her fertility? And he created something for her to bear its child? What?! WHAT?!

She didn’t know what to say. How did someone respond to something like that? It was crazy! It was insane! This couldn’t be real. It had to be some kind of nightmare. She just needed to wake up.

WAKE UP!

Magnus’s eyes returned to the chart. She could see them scanning over it, and she wondered what it said. Why did he keep referring to it? Did he do anything to her while she was out? Or was it her personal information? She didn’t know which was more frightening. He said he knew everything about her. How? He had been watching her?

“You won’t get away with this! You need to let me go!” she said quickly, her voice full of the terror she was feeling.

“There, there…” Magnus said, stepping beside her table. “I know you’re feeling shocked. But trust me when I say your role in this is very important. History may even write about you.”

“What? No, you’re crazy! You can’t do this!” she exclaimed and yanked at the straps on her wrists. It was no use. They didn’t budge.

“It’ll be alright,” said Magnus. He seemed unfazed by her distress. With his free hand, he gently ran it over her blonde head. “You really are a beauty. Zeus is sure to love you. I will warn you, however, he has just matured and he will be quite curious of you. He’s never seen a female before.”

Jenna tried to pull her head away from the crazy doctor. Her heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest. The things he was saying only amplified her fear. What was he talking about?! Who was Zeus?!

“Now I did make sure you were taken during your most fertile time of the month but… seeing as Zeus is an animal-human hybrid, it will likely take more than one try. This chart tells me genetically you should be compatible but there are a lot of variables in the mix. Don’t become discouraged if you don’t conceive right away.”

An animal-human hybrid? Did she just hear him right?! He wanted her to be impregnated by some monster freak he had created in a lab?! She had never even had sex before!

“No, no, no… I can’t–You can’t! Let me go! Someone is going to come looking for me! They’ll put you in jail!”

Magnus looked at her and laughed. He turned and dropped the chart onto a nearby counter. “No one will be looking for you. Like I said, I know all about you. You have no family. Very few friends. You won’t be missed. And besides, your role here is far more important than the life you left behind. If you succeed, this is something that will go down in history. The fate of the human race lies right there in your very womb.”

Jenna shook her head furiously. This was crazy. This was insane! She wouldn’t do it. He couldn’t make her! Maybe she didn’t have a family but she had a job. Someone was going to notice she was missing! Someone would come looking for her!

“It’s a lot, dear, I know. I’ll give you some time for it to sink in while I fetch Zeus,” he said, patting her head one last time before he left the room.

As soon as she was alone, Jenna frantically tried to free herself from the table. She used her entire body, twisting, bucking, anything to free her of her confinements. She couldn’t get free. But as she was wiggling around, something occurred to her.

She was wet.

Not just wet. Swollen too. She was extremely turned on.

What? How? WHY?!

She couldn’t explain it. Rationally, she shouldn’t be horny right now. This was a terrifying situation to wake up to. Why would it make her wet?!

Realizing that she was wet only added to her worry. This wasn’t good. This wasn’t how she wanted to be feeling when she was kidnapped specifically to be impregnated by some monster created in a lab!

But it wasn’t like she could do anything about it. Her arms were restrained. Even if they weren’t, it wasn’t something she could magically make go away. Her only real option was to escape.

She had to get free. There must be some way!

Her eyes darted around the room for something, anything, she could use to get out of this mess. There was nothing in her reach. Not even something she could maybe pull towards her with her feet.

It was useless.

And the next thing she knew, the door was opening once again.
