Prologue

The soft tranquil sound of music filled  the throne room, Raine stood beside her father wearing a serious expression despite being only 6 years old, watching the other kids talking to each other and laughing she longed to join them. " Raine. Why are you expressing such a disgusting emotion?" her father questioned in a harsh tone making her flinch. Looking up at her father who wasn't short nor tall but just the right height. His long black hair tied in a braid so it rested on his shoulder, his stern cold emotionless forest green eyes hard as he looked down at her making her pale. Father is angry with me. " Raine do you wish to join those pathetic things who need the protection of a servant and can't fend for themselves? " he questioned her.

Shaking her head made her own long black hair bounce " Exactly. You are above those lowly things just like you're better than those pathetic siblings of yours. " he said while placing a hand on her head making her flinch.

Father's hatred for others especially my brothers and sister's is growing.

" F..Father." she stuttered out making his gaze harden even more " What is it?" he questioned in an emotionless tone.

" I am afraid to do the ceremony in front of these people, can't I do it alone like my siblings? " she asked making him furious. He grabbed her face in one hand with a bruising grip.

Ow it hurts! I knew it I shouldn't have asked father.

" You are special, you're the next head of our household and every successor has done it to prove their strength otherwise you will be seen as weak. Never show weakness in front of others because if you do then you might as well choose death." he said tightening his grip making her whimper. " Do you understand Raine?" he questioned. " Yes father." she answered not shedding the tears she held back.
