From what I've read so far, We Who Smile is something truly special—and well worth reading, if you can survive it. The raw emotion of a father clinging to hope while reflecting on memories of his daughter is absolutely heartbreaking. What makes it stand out even more is the attention paid to the small details and realities of what someone must endure during a time like this. The fact that a single chapter could leave me feeling such heartbreak and loss makes me genuinely hesitant to continue. That isn't a criticism—quite the opposite. I write this review out of the utmost respect for a story that managed to affect me so deeply in so few words. This is a gem."
