Chapter 1

Welcome To College

Jamie's POV

Here I was, at UConn as a college Freshman. This was definitely different from high school, that's for sure. UConn was definitely the best school in all of Connecticut. My mother was sad to see me go, but I promised her I would see her again for Thanksgiving.

When I entered my dorm, there was a clown waiting for me. “Hello!” He said in a cheerful voice. “What is your name?”

“My name is Jamie,” I replied.

“Jamie, eh?” The clown said. Is this your first year of college?”

“Why do you care?” I scoffed. “Don't you belong to the circus?”

“Here is a welcoming gift from me to you!” The clown shoved a blueberry pie in my face, with a cartoon sound effect. “Enjoy college!” The clown ran out with a goofy laugh.

“Since when do clowns belong at college?”

Hey, Jamie...get used to this. I had three brothers growing up. You think a clown at college is bad? Try getting shot by a BB gun every other single day of your life but it was 'okay' because my ass was big and it was just right for a target (according to my brothers, keeping in mind, I weighed a hundred pounds at the time) All it really means is that they love ya. (yeah, that's what they said...right to my face)

So, take this as a good omen. It could have been three clowns. ???
