Chapter 1

It Was Weird and Confusing

One day, I was eating breakfast with my family when my phone suddenly vibrated.

An unknown number had sent me a message.

It contained nothing but strange symbols.

#@$##!

As soon as I looked at the message, my face turned pale. My heart began racing.

My family immediately noticed something was wrong.

“Are you okay?” my mother asked.

I tried to answer, but my mouth refused to move. My tongue felt frozen.

The sender...

He was the same person who had stolen all my family’s money and murdered my friends when I was only six years old.

With all the strength I had left, I asked my mother,

“Is... is that person still alive?”

She looked at me with confusion.

“I don’t know.”

I couldn’t stop shaking.

“I don’t think I can go to college today.”

She agreed and left for work with everyone else.

Only my younger brother stayed behind.

I called him into my room.

As he walked toward me, something impossible happened.

His eyes slowly turned completely black.

Before I could ask what was happening, he threw his phone onto my bed...

...and vanished.

I froze.

The phone’s screen was still on.

It showed the exact same strange messages.

#@$##!

My heart nearly stopped.

I ran into his bedroom.

He was sitting there normally, playing games on his phone as if nothing had happened.

“What are you talking about?” he asked.

Terrified, I ran out of the house and went straight to my best friend’s home.

After hearing everything, he looked at me seriously.

“If you’re telling the truth, then we need to check the hospital records. If that man really died, they’ll have proof.”

We rushed to the hospital.

The doctors searched through old records before handing me a file.

The medical report clearly stated...

The man had died years ago.

“No...” I whispered.

“He’s alive.”

Nobody believed me.

Thinking I had imagined everything, I walked home.

It was already 8:00 p.m.

But something felt wrong.

The streets were completely empty.

There were no people.

No cars.

No sounds.

Even my family was gone.

Then my phone vibrated again.

For ten straight minutes, the same strange symbols kept appearing.

#@$##!

#@$##!

#@$##!

Finally...

One last message arrived.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

The sky instantly turned black.

Every light disappeared.

I began running toward the hospital, hoping someone was still there.

Instead...

I saw a horrifying figure standing in the middle of the road.

It had long black hair that covered most of its face.

Only two glowing red eyes stared directly into mine.

It slowly spoke.

“Run.”

I asked it dozens of questions.

Who are you?

Why are you following me?

What do you want?

It answered none of them.

Instead, it whispered in a strange language I couldn’t understand.

Then it finally said,

“I was killed... in my dimension.”

“My mission now is...”

Before it could finish its sentence, terror took over me.

I turned around and ran as fast as I could.

I screamed.

I cried.

I begged for help.

Suddenly...

Someone grabbed me from behind.

“I told you to run.”

A powerful punch hit my face.

Everything went dark.

...

When I opened my eyes again...

There was nothing.

Only darkness.

The only source of light came from two glowing red eyes watching me.

“Please...” I whispered.

“Let me go.”

“There is nowhere to go,” it replied.

Then, right in front of me, it created another version of me.

The fake copy smiled...

Walked away...

And took my place with my family.

Before I could move, the creature swallowed me whole.

Inside its endless stomach, it finally told me the truth.

“When I was a child, I chased everyone because I wanted them to listen to me.”

“But no one ever did.”

“You bullied me.”

“You hurt me.”

“So I escaped to another dimension...”

“...where they killed me.”

“My death was recorded and sent back to your world.”

“That is why everyone believes I am dead.”

“I returned...”

“...but not as a human.”

“I warned you.”

“I tried to make you run.”

“Because soon...”

“...everyone will be...”

The creature smiled.

Its glowing red eyes slowly faded into the darkness.

And before it could finish the sentence...

I heard footsteps...

Getting closer.

The End.
