Chapter 1
Instead, she moved closer to him until their knees touched. The feeling between them grew stronger, hotter than the bright city lights shining outside the window.
“Then destroy me,” she whispered. “But do it holding me. Because I’d rather be ruined by you than untouched by anyone else.”
The last wall shattered.
In the next heartbeat, Jungkook’s lips crashed against hers. It wasn’t soft, it wasn’t careful—it was raw, desperate, a storm breaking after years of drought. His hands tangled in her hair, pulling her closer, as if he could fuse her into him.
Y/N gasped against his mouth, her fingers clutching his shirt, pulling him down with equal fire. It wasn’t a kiss. It was a war, a surrender, a thousand promises all at once.
When they finally broke apart, foreheads pressed together, both breathless, Jungkook’s voice was a broken growl.
“You have no idea what you’ve just started.”
Y/N’s lips curved into a trembling smile. “Then finish it.”
The moment hung heavy, electric, like the calm before a thunderstorm.
Jungkook’s hand cupped Y/N’s jaw, his thumb brushing the corner of her bruised lip. “You’re trouble,” he muttered, almost to himself, his eyes dark and wild.
Y/N smirked through the heat of her pulse. “Takes one to know one.”
And then the fire consumed them.
He lifted her effortlessly, setting her on the edge of the glass table, his body crowding hers, his mouth claiming every inch of skin he could reach. Y/N’s gasp turned into a breathless laugh before dissolving into a moan as his lips trailed down her throat, his teeth grazing her pulse.
“Mine,” he growled against her skin. “You don’t get to run. Not anymore.”
Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling his face back to hers. “Who said I wanted to run?”
The kiss that followed was different—hotter, hungrier, years of frustration and fear melting into pure, desperate need. His hands traced her waist, her hips, pulling her closer until not a breath of air existed between them.
Y/N had never felt this alive. Every nerve was on fire, every heartbeat thundering with the dangerous knowledge that she was kissing the Mafia King, the man the whole city feared. And yet here, now—he was hers.
“Say it,” Jungkook demanded, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes, his voice rough, almost pleading. “Say you’re mine.”
She smiled, bold as ever, her lips brushing his. “I’ve been yours since the first time you looked at me like you wanted to burn me alive.”
A sound tore from his chest—half growl, half groan—as his mouth crashed back onto hers, deeper, rougher, endless.
The world outside could collapse. Enemies could storm the gates. But right here, in this storm of heat and shadows, there was only them.
For the first time in their brutal, chaotic story, they weren’t King and captive, predator and prey.
They were fire meeting fire.
And neither was willing to burn alone.
The night had burned them both raw.
The fire still lingered in the air, heavy and intoxicating, but now it was replaced by something softer… something far more dangerous.
Jungkook lay back against the headboard, chest rising and falling in uneven breaths. For once, the tattoos that curled across his skin didn’t make him look like a monster, but like a man—scarred, beautiful, and unbearably human.
Beside him, Y/N rested her head on his chest, tracing idle patterns over his heartbeat. Neither spoke for a long while.
