Pure love
The Boy Who Collected Sunsets
When Maya moved to the quiet seaside town of Arlen, she promised herself one thing—never fall in love again.
Love had taught her how quickly forever could disappear. She had packed her memories into cardboard boxes, locked her heart behind polite smiles, and started over as the town’s new librarian.
Every evening after work, she would walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The sunsets there were breathtaking, but she never noticed the young man who sat on the same bench every single day with a sketchbook in his hands.
Until one rainy evening.
The rain poured without warning. Maya hurried toward the shelter, but before she reached it, someone held an umbrella over her head.
“You’ll catch a cold,” he said with a gentle smile.
She looked up. It was the quiet man from the bench.
“Thank you.”
“I’m Noah.”
“Maya.”
That was all.
The next day, he was there again.
And the day after that.
Soon, sharing the bench became their silent tradition.
They talked about books, stars, old songs, and the dreams people abandon when they grow older. Noah rarely spoke about himself, but he listened to Maya as though every word she said mattered.
