Prologue
Damian and Gale were walking down the streets of Chicago
"What the hell are we doing here again?" Damian asked.
"We are following the lead" Gale growled.
"Why do WE always have to do it? Why can't we just leave it be? There will always be another lead! I'm tired of chasing after people! It's like chasing our tails!" Damian said.
"Are you done yet?" Gale snapped "Any way don't you" Both boys stopped dead in their tracks. Gale lifted his nose to the air and inhaled deeply. Damian took an involuntary step forward as if pulled by the scent that only their enhanced noses could smell. "Damian we need to fallow this"
"Damn right we do!" Damian replied, his mood taking a complete one eighty turn. "Do you smell all that blood?"
"Yeah, if we don't get there fast there is going to be someone dead."
"If they aren't already, lead the way" Damian growled. His Orange eyes had grown very dark in the past couple of minutes. He was mad, no he was pissed.
As they ran Gale was thinking of whose blood was spilt this time. Gale's eyes had also changed. His eyes had changed from the mild annoyed blue to a midnight blue so dark one might call it black. They both hated when they had to deal with death. Though they didn't say it, they both knew that someone had already died. They could smell it the scent permeated the air like a thick morning fog.
They arrived at the steps of an old abandoned warehouse looking building. Only, they could both tell it was no longer abandoned. The smell of blood was leaking through every crack in the windows, walls, and doors. Gale growled and Damian swore. They both already knew that one or more were already dead inside. They also knew that they would have to kill who ever had done this. Gale started stripping after casting a quick glance around to make sure nobody could see them. Silently crouched in a corner by the stairs his bones started to change shape his anatomy changed. His body was calling towards the overwhelming smell of blood, his very essence attracted to it. Gale had transformed into a big sandy brown wolf in a few short seconds. He shot a look at Damian. Damian was a darker brown fluffy wolf with short hairs around his facial region and ears.
