Same like me

My name is SAIRAN.

My mother gave me that name because my entire family believe in legends of the SAIRANS mysterious begging said to posses extraordinary magic. According to my mother only dead can control a SAIRAN power.

I never understood that.

Unlike everyone else in my family , I don’t believe in magic I don’t believe in legends , if only dead can controls SAIRANS magic then why does everyone can speak of them as if they real/ does that meant everyone was already dead/

The thought never frightened me.

Death wasn’t what scared me.

What haunted me was the question that had followed me my entire life…

DO THE SAIRANS REALLY EXISTS.

Anyway….

Not becoming I dislike studing in fact I enjpyed learning . what I could stand were crowds too many voices too many people I preferred silence and being alone.

Today was my first day at a new school.

The building was ancient long before it become a school it had been a magnificent palace. Even after centuries its beauty remained untouched though time had left behind eerie atmosphere the tall stone walls endless corridors and faded paintings made the palace fell almost hunted.

Most of the students avoided this school because of the old rumors surrounding it. Only about one hundred and thirty students were enrolled.

For someone like me…

It was perfect…..

Inside the principle office my mother spoke with the principal about me while I stood quietly behind the door.

I hate it whatever the adults talked about me as I though I wasn’t there.

The principal glanced at me with concern before turning my mother . whatever they were discussing wasn’t something they wanted me to hear.

After a few moments my mother smiled gently.

Why don’t you go and get ready for your first day sweetheart/

I simply nodded.

Honestly…..

Anything was better than standing there listening to another conversation about me.

I stepped outside and the office door softly behind me.

The corridor was completely empty.

Not a single student .

Not a single voice.

Only sound of my footsteps echoed through the old hallway.

I looked around until my eyes found wide wooden staircase leading to the second floor.

That must be where the hostel rooms are I thought.

As I claimed the stairs I remember the room key the principal handed me.

When I reached the second floor I found the rooms at the corridor .

Taking a deep breath I quietly unlocked the door and stepped inside.

The room was surprisingly neat.

Two comfortable beds stood on the opposite sides each with its own study tables beside it sunlight filtered through the large windows making the room feel warm despite the old building outside.

So….

I was going to have a roommate .

I just hoped they wouldn’t talk to much.

I looked around the room and noticed that my suitcase had already placed beside my bed, folded neatly on of it was my school uniform . I picked it up and examined It carefully .

The uniform was surprising elegant a light brown shirt a crisp white undershirt and a dark brown jacket it looks simple yet somehow carried an old fashioned charm that matched the ancient school .

Without wasting time I quickly changed into the uniform and left the room.

The corridor was still quiet as I made my way downstairs to the first floor .

Students were gathering near the main school hall for the principal announcement their voices echoing softly though the building.

When I stepped inside the hall .

I pused.

The place was enormous.

High window stretched across the walls, revealing a clear blue sky outside. Sunlight poured into the hall making the polished floor shine.

Almost every students was already there.

I took a few steps forward and entered the crowd.

Suddenly the murmuring stopped.

One by one students turned to stare at me . the crowd slowly moved aside ,

Crating paths as whispers though the hall.

Is that her/

It cant be…

She looks exactly same. …..

I could hear every word .

Then I girl pushed her way though the crowd and stopped directly in front of me .

Her face had gone pale.

Spirit she shouted what are you doing here/

Fear trebled in her voice.

Before I could respond she took a shaky breath.

And said ARE YOU PRINCESS LILY . you came back to get you crown/

I stared at her complelty stunned.

Another girl raised a trembling hand and pointed behind the first girl.

Look.

I turned around.

At the far end of the hall a large statue.

My breath cough in my throat .

The statue was of a young princess dresses in royal robes her head slightly raised as if she were looking over the kingdom she once ruled.

But…

She looked exactly like me.

Same eyes

Same face.

same expressions.

For a moment the entire hall felt silent .

My heart pounded as I stared at the status.

How was this possible….

Before could another question.

The first girl whispered almost as if she were affaire of statue

Itself might hear her.

That’s princess lily.
