Chapter 1
This is Menabilly; once again, I am back there. The front gate is covered in rust and spiky vines that look scary in the dark. Like other dreamers, I got some superpowers, and I went through the gate like a ghost. I was like before: the path is like a tangled thread, but it's easy to figure out. As I walked more, I could see trees surrounded by bushes like a barrier, but they were ugly and overgrown. Some paths were blocked by fallen trees, which could be caused by the heavy rains. After this, thin but dense trees came; the orchid with resting birds, coconut, apple, papaya, and different types of plants were grown, which filled the orchid with sweet scents. After a kilometer came Menabilly, with open windows and overgrown creepers. The soft moon was reflected on the reading glasses in the library. Then I woke up to the sweet chirping of birds, and the petrichor filled the room, and she was still sleeping. The humid environment after last night's rain made a cozy morning for me.
As she woke, we had a small ritual of eating scrambled egg, avocado toast every morning; we usually stayed at home as she had a small business; it used to be a billion-dollar one but not now.
I have a habit of keeping environmental channels, but whenever they spoke about orchids or forests, she flinched, cause she hated it more than anything. I saw the magazine of McRobbins; well, they were renovating, and I think Elora's room is no more. I can never tell her about this.
It all started 5 years ago, in 1998, London, I used to travel with Elora, different from her name she is a short fat woman with big eyes and long fingernail just like a pig, her job is to travel and meet her friends in this hotel, McRobbins famous for its luxury and facilities, and I a young girl who is strait out of graduation but people think I am a freshmen year, well looking Young isn't a curse. I wear a ill fitting skit to my top and a big hat. This morning we went for breakfast, and there she used to peep with her egg eyes and binoculars while eating, which makes me embarrassed to stay with a person like her, and hearing people laugh at her as we leave; her photo even came in the hotel magazine's front page.
She had a photographic memory, not about everything but people; once she spotted a man at the end of a mall and the next second she sprinted to him and kept him in words; they even lunched together. Back in our suite, she slept like a pig there.
This is Elora's suite; a thing like this isn't there, but in one year she visited it so much they had to make one that suits her interests. The hall is a mix with a mini kitchen, not for cooking but for heating stuff, and has a modern TV, and next is her room where it's a queen bed and good furniture, well, the washroom is good and the parlour to entertainment for the guests apparently and there's my room, same size as a children bedroom already stuffed with my stuff but its huge to me. I sit in her room listening to her yapping. Drawing, the gift God gave me, so I made it a hobby, and even the arrogant Elora likes it. In her family, she has a daughter and a niece, and the rest is hidden. The rumors say she killed her husband for millions in insurance; well, that sounds true to me.
