Summary

In the prestigious city of St. Armand, power is inherited, reputations are everything, and every influential family has something to hide. Alexander Kingston has spent years proving he’s more than the heir to Kingston Holdings. Briella Devereaux is determined to build a legacy of her own, one that isn’t defined by her family’s name. But when the ambitious Blackwater family arrives with an offer that could change St. Armand forever, old rivalries begin to resurface, hidden agendas emerge, and loyalties are put to the test. As alliances shift and long-buried secrets begin to surface, Alexander and Briella find themselves drawn into a mystery far greater than either of them imagined. In a city built on legacy, one lie has the power to change everything.

Prologue

The room had been built for celebrations.

Tonight, it felt like a courtroom.

Crystal chandeliers cast a warm light across the polished marble floors, reflecting off champagne glasses that no one bothered to lift.

Everyone stood frozen, watching and waiting for what was about to unfold. For the first time in over a century, not a single person was smiling.

Alexander Kingston stood at the far end of the room, beside Yulian Navarro.

His tailored tuxedo was immaculate, but the the fury in his expression did not. Across the room, Briella Devereaux met his gaze for only a moment before looking away.

Nine months ago, they had walked into this room as rivals.

Around them, the Committee of the Founding Six sat in absolute silence.

A single leather portfolio rested in the center of the table.

No one reached for it.

No one wanted to, because everyone in the room already knew that once it was opened, there would be no returning to the lives they had built.

TopazHorizon: Okay, no sex here at all - I know all you werewolf romance fans love a good sex scene 😉 But it's still a good love story. Love for your own self, love for your skills, love for your community and beyond, and love for family, even when it's complicated. And I feel like I became smarter, too. All tho...
