Ezra Very Sick

A/N: I don’t own Star Wars Rebels, but I enjoy the show a whole lot.

Kanan was sitting in his cabin where his Padawan, Ezra Bridger was currently sleeping underneath a pile of blankets and he currently was fighting the blankets in his sleep as he started to whimper as a nightmare was starting to happen. Kanan saw this and started to run his hand through the boy’s raven black hair as a way to get him to calm down some and to let the force flow through him in order to completely calm down. A few hours earlier after the others had helped them from the hallway of the entry ramp to Kanan’s cabin, Ezra promptly fell asleep exhausted and Kanan simply laid him down on the bunk before getting all of his extra blankets and putting them on his Padawan in order to help him warm up some more. Hera went to put the Ghost into hyperspace while Sabine went to make some soup for the two Jedi in order to help them warm up. Kanan changed into some dry clothes before settling down next to his Padawan and fell asleep knowing that Ezra was now safe again. By the time Sabine and Hera came back, both Master and Padawan were fast asleep underneath the pile of blankets. The two women quietly left the cabin and put Chomper on guard duty, so that nobody would disturbed the two Jedi sleeping quite peacefully for the first time in a while. After Kanan had woken up feeling warm again, he checked on Ezra and could see him still fast asleep, but his breathing was shallow. Kanan immediately checked Ezra’s forehead and knew right away that his Padawan has a high fever. Kanan knew that he should tell the others, but he couldn’t make himself leave the cabin and leave his Padawan alone, so he decided to send Chomper to get Hera and Sabine while he stayed in the cabin and watched over his ill Padawan. Ezra settled down when he felt Kanan running his hand through his raven black hair and that got him to settled down real quick and hold onto Kanan’s shirt in a tight grip like he was going to disappear if he lets go. Kanan see this and simply sits on the bunk and put Ezra’s head in his lap as he continued to run his hand through the sick boy’s hair. Kanan said, "Rest easy Ezra, you are safe and no one is going to hurt you while I am around." Ezra lets go of Kanan’s shirt and sigh peacefully as he listen to his Master’s soothing voice and fell into a deeper slumber in order to let his body heal. Hera and Sabine went into Kanan’s cabin when they saw that Chopper was sent to get them and they quietly entered when they saw that Kanan was comforting his Padawan and adjusted the blankets on Ezra, so that he could continue to sleep comfortably and peacefully. Hera asked, "What do you need Love." Kanan replied, "I need the fever reducer and soup please Hera and Sabine." The two women nodded their heads and went to get the requested items for Kanan and they grabbed extra blankets also in case Ezra needs them. Kanan hum as he continued to run his hand through Ezra’s raven black hair as a way to let him feel safe even if it is just for a little while. Zeb came by Kanan’s cabin to drop off dry clothes for Ezra, so that Kanan could get him out of the wet ones and into some that are dry. Kanan said, "Thank you Zeb for Ezra’s dry clothes." Zeb replied, "Only this once will I do this for the kid, but you are welcome Kanan." Kanan took the blankets off of Ezra and was immediately answered with a whimper from his Padawan as he started to get cold from the lack of warmth. Kanan said, "Shhh, it will be quick Ezra." Ezra settled down and let Kanan change him into the dry clothes and out of the wet ones. Kanan then put the blankets that were dry back on Ezra and then toss the wet ones onto the floor where his and Ezra’s wet clothes were and Zeb took the wet items out of the room to be taken care of. Ezra simply snuggled into the welcome warmth and he sigh as he curl up on his side as a way to get comfortable again as he settled back into a peaceful slumber until Hera and Sabine came back with soup, the fever reducer, and some more blankets. Kanan roused Ezra and managed to get him awake just enough to take the fever reducer and eat the soup before being laid back down on the bunk underneath the blankets. Hera said, "Make sure you eat too Love and if you need anything else just either comm me or Sabine or send Chopper." Kanan said, "I will Hera," and started to eat his soup while his Padawan was sleeping peacefully. Kanan also took a fever reducer incase he had a fever before laying down next to Ezra again after moving him a little so that he had room to lay down next to his Padawan underneath the blankets. A few hours after not hearing from Kanan, Hera went to go check on him and Ezra and saw them sleeping peacefully. She feels Ezra’s forehead and knew right away that his fever went down some, but not enough to be out of danger yet. She puts the extra blankets on the two sleeping Jedi and took out the dirty soup bowls. Chopper resumed his guard duty and saw to it that the two Jedi were not disturbed. Hera contacted Fulcrum and let her know that Ezra was safe again and that they also had Tseebo on board and that he had not perished with the other ship after checking on the two Jedi. She was told to rendezvous with the other rebels, so that Ezra could get checked out since he has a high fever from the freezing cold water. Hera of course agreed and went to put the coordinates in while the others were sleeping quite peacefully after the long search they had just to find Ezra. Hera stayed in the cockpit so that she could take the ship out of hyperspace where she would join the rest of the rebel ships who are fighting against the Empire. Kanan woke up when he heard his cabin door open and there were unfamiliar voices that were in his cabin. His first instinct was to pull Ezra closer to him and wrapped his arms around the boy in order to protect him from any danger or harm. Ezra simply snuggled closer to Kanan and took a hold of his shirt in order to make sure that he was safe and that it was all not just a dream. Kanan curled up on his side and simply continue to hold his Padawan close to him as he fell back asleep and knew that everything would be fine as long as Ezra was safe in his arms. The medics that Hera had let board the Ghost couldn’t get Ezra out of Kanan’s arms and he wouldn’t let go of Kanan’s shirt either. Kanan woke up again when he heard Ezra whimper as he started have the same nightmare again. Kanan immediately knew what to do to get his Padawan calmed again was to run his hand through his Padawan’s raven black hair and talk in a soothing voice. Ezra calmed down and simply snuggled closer to his Master for comfort while listening to Kanan talk in a soothing voice. Kanan quietly got off the bunk and turned the lights off in hopes that Ezra would stay asleep for a while longer while he went to get himself something to drink and bring something hot for Ezra to drink.
