Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
A New Beginning
Every love story has an ending. But sometimes...An ending is only the beginning of another story.
The Collin family had finally found happiness. Alex and Aria were now happily married, filling both the Collin and Evans families with even more laughter than before.
Arix and Elina had finally confessed their feelings and were looking forward to the next chapter of their lives together.
Life couldn't have been more peaceful. Or so everyone thought. Because there was still one person who refused to follow in everyone else's footsteps.
Adrian Collin.
The youngest son of the Collin family. The life of every family gathering. The king of sarcasm. The master of pranks and teasing.
And...The family's last bachelor.
Whenever someone mentioned marriage, Adrian had only one answer.
"I'd rather stay single forever."
Little did he know...Fate had already begun making other plans.
And somewhere...A certain woman was about to turn his peaceful life upside down. Completely...✨️

Two years later...The Collin Mansion had changed. Not because of its luxurious interiors. Not because of its grand halls. But because the silence that once filled the house had disappeared.
Now...Laughter echoed through every corner. Family dinners lasted for hours. Arguments turned into jokes. And every weekend somehow became another family gathering.
This weekend...Was even more special. Because after two years of making everyone wait...Arix Collin and Elina Evans were finally getting married so the preparations are been discussed this weekend...
Saturday Morning...
The dining room looked more like a wedding planning office. Invitation cards...Flower catalogues...Venue samples...Cake designs...
Everything was spread across the long dining table.
Maria sighed.
"There are too many flower options."
Ruhi nodded.
"I've been looking at roses for thirty minutes."
Richard looked confused.
"Why are there so many shades of white?"
Michael rubbed his forehead.
"I didn't even know flowers had personalities."
Alex quietly took a sip of coffee.
"I'm just glad I'm already married."
Aria smiled.
"Smart decision."
Elina laughed.
"You say that as if you had a choice."
Everyone chuckled.
At the head of the table...Arix calmly looked through the guest list. He looked far more relaxed than he had ever been two years ago.
He suddenly looked at Elina.
"Your college friends...Did you add them?"
She blinked.
"...I forgot."
Arix smiled.
"I knew you would."
He reached into another file.
"I already wrote their names."
Elina stared at him.
"You remembered?"
"You mentioned them three months ago."
She smiled softly.
"You're making it very difficult not to fall in love with you all over again."
Michael dramatically cleared his throat.
"We're sitting right here."
The table burst into laughter. Even Arix laughed.
Alex immediately pointed at him.
"Did everyone see that? Our CEO laughed."
Arix looked at him.
"I laugh."
Alex shook his head.
"No. You used to issue performance reviews few years back... This is new."
Just then...Maria looked around.
"Where's Adrian?"
Silence. Everyone looked toward his empty chair.
Alex checked his watch.
"He said he'd be here at nine."
Richard frowned.
"It's almost ten."
Elina grinned.
"I'll call him."
She pressed the speaker button.
The phone rang.
Once...Twice...Finally...
Adrian answered.
"...Hello?"
Elina narrowed her eyes.
"Where are you?"
"I'm on my way."
Michael asked loudly,
"How far?"
Adrian replied confidently,
"Five minutes."
Alex looked out the window.
"He's been saying 'five minutes' for the last forty-five minutes."
Everyone laughed.
Adrian defended himself.
"Traffic."
Arix calmly asked,
"From your bedroom?"
For two seconds...The entire room went silent.
Then...
Everyone burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Even Adrian laughed from the other end of the call.
"...Okay. I overslept."
Maria shook her head, smiling.
"I knew it."
Ten minutes later...The front door flew open.
"I'm here!"
Adrian rushed inside wearing sunglasses. His hair was messy. His shirt was inside out. And he was still holding a slice of toast in his mouth.
Everyone stared.
Elina blinked.
"...Is your shirt backwards?"
He looked down.
"...No."
Aria pointed.
"The tag is on the front."
He slowly looked at his shirt.
"...That explains why it felt uncomfortable."
Without any embarrassment...He turned around and pulled it off over his head.
Michael quickly stood up.
"GO TO YOUR ROOM!"
Adrian froze.
"...Right."
Five minutes later...He returned wearing the correct shirt.
Arix looked at him.
"Better."
Adrian sat down dramatically.
"I'd like everyone to know...I was publicly humiliated."
Alex nodded.
"You deserved it."
"I disagree."
"You were wearing your shirt backwards."
"That's called fashion."
Elina laughed.
"No...That's called sleeping through your alarm."
As breakfast continued...
Maria suddenly clapped her hands.
"Enough talking. We still have a wedding to plan."
Ruhi smiled.
"And after this wedding..."
Richard slowly turned toward Adrian.
"...We'll only have one unmarried child left."
Every head at the table turned toward Adrian.
He immediately raised both hands.
"No."
Michael smiled.
"We didn't even ask anything."
"I know this family."
Alex couldn't stop laughing.
"They've already started planning."
Aria added,
"I heard Mom and Aunt Ruhi discussing possible brides yesterday."
"What?!"
Elina grinned mischievously.
"Oh...You don't know the best part."
Adrian became suspicious.
"...What best part?"
She pulled out a small notebook from behind her back.
"I've titled it...'Operation: Find Adrian a Wife.'"
The room exploded with laughter.
Adrian stared at the notebook in complete horror.
"...You people need hobbies."
Arix leaned back in his chair with a grin.
"We found one...teasing...." (Karma is for real... for the people who read book 1 knows why. 🤭)
Everyone laughed again.
Adrian looked around the table and sighed dramatically.
"I have a feeling..My peaceful life is officially over."
Little did he know...For once...He was absolutely right.
Michael smiled knowingly.
"You have no idea."
Everyone laughed once more before returning to the wedding preparations.
None of them knew...
That somewhere, hundreds of miles away...A young woman stepped out of a taxi, removing her sunglasses as she looked up at the towering skyline before her.
A small smile played on her lips.
"So...This is my new beginning."
She adjusted the strap of her bag and took a deep breath.
"Let's see what this city has in store for me."
Without another glance back...She disappeared into the bustling crowd. Completely unaware...That within a few days...Her path would collide with a certain sarcastic bachelor...And neither of their lives would ever be the same again.
