Chapter 1
This love story is like no other because it is unique. It involves two people from different cultures, but also are separated by an ocean. I was searching for that special someone and had tried many different dating apps. It just so happened one day I stubbles upon one I never had used. It was called tagged, just like the rest I set up my profile and got to searching within a forty mile radius. As usual I would check and see if any women caught my interest low, and behold this certain one did. After sending the first few messages I learned she was not from the United States and the profile she was using was her friends. Of course I was a little thrown off and skeptical to say the least, but I thought what the heck maybe I could at least make a new friend if anything. Of course she did not speak any English so we didn’t say much without a translator. We exchanged numbers and started talking on Whats app. After a week or two of only texting and exchanging pictures I had enough it was time for a video call. Now I only knew two words in Spanish she knew maybe the same in English. We took a month of really getting to know each other then I asked her to be my girlfriend. We asked each other hundreds of questions and talked late into the night on many occasions. This went on for nine months, but after six we started to make plans so I could go and visit. What she didn’t know was I would ask for her hand in marriage. Now I forgot to say her parents also mine where very skeptical of all this. They wondered why we would be talking to each other and needed to be with someone from another country. We proved that it was our great connection and the love we had for one another.
