Chapter 1: The forgotten twin
Violet's POV
"Vivi, hurry up or we're gonna be late" mom yelled from the dining table
"Coming, give me a minute" my twin sister yelled from her room
As usual she was still busy dolling herself up
"I'm Violet Hart, the twin in the shadows, and my twin sister, Vivienne Hart, the twin in the light another word, everyone's wish
My parent never noticed my existence but instead, always worried about my sister...No one noticed i had been up since dawn helping with chores and cooking, but if they knew I'll just be dismissed as an attention seeker.
"Morning dad" i greeted my dad who was sitting at the dining table with a newspaper in hand
" Where's Vivienne" he simply asked totally ignoring my greetings
"Probably still up in her room" i replied hiding the disappointment in my tone
Before I could finish, my dad walked away as if already disgusted by my presence
Few minutes later, Vivienne came out dressed in designer outfits from head to toe
"There's my daughter" mom said admiring Vivi from head to toe
There was something i had always wondered, i was their daughter too, i was Vivienne's twin, we are literally identical no one could tell us apart sometimes, however they still managed to favour her over me
"Morning Vy" Vivi said with a smile when she saw me
"Morning Vivi" i replied
Even though my parents favored us over each other, Vivi never placed herself above me
Years ago: Elementary School
"Violet Hart, what are you still doing here" The teacher asked when she saw me
"What are you talking about"
"Your parents already came by". She explained
" Oh, why am I not surprised, they'll eventually send a driver back for me" i told her
*End of flashback*
"Come on Vy, let's go" vivi said holding my hand and led me out of the house"
"Where are we going" i managed to ask
"Oh My God, must you act clueless all the time" Mom asked
"We are going to have dinner with the Reiner family, don't embarrass us, we are not loosing this contract because of you" dad yelled at me
Oh yeah... I was always the embarrassment, Vivi was the perfect twin
" Who is the Reiner family" Vivienne asked
"Our contractor and your suitor's family" Mom replied giggling with excitement
"What do you mean by suitor" Vivi shot back with a panicked look on her face
"You'll find out when we get there"

Little did Violet know, that this was the start of a mistake she can't turn back from, and a biggest sacrifice she couldn't avoid.
