Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

- six eggs

-3 tablespoons mayonnaise

-1–2 teaspoons mustard

-1 teaspoon white vinegar, pickle juice, or lemon juice

-Pinch of salt

-Paprika, for garnish

-Optional: finely chopped chives or herbs for topping

-Instructions-

Step 1: Cook the Eggs

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the eggs gently and boil for 10–12 minutes. After boiling, transfer the eggs into an ice water bath for about 5–10 minutes to cool, making them easier to peel

Step 2: Peel and Chop Eggs

Once cooled, gently tap the eggs to crack the shell and peel. Slice each egg in half lengthwise, carefully remove the yolks, and place them in a bowl. Arrange the egg whites on a serving plate

Step 3: Make the Filling

Mash the yolks with a fork until crumbly. Mix in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar (or juice), and salt until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed

Step 4: Fill the Egg Whites

Spoon the mixture back into the egg white cavities or use a piping bag for a neater presentation. Create small peaks if desired. Sprinkle paprika on top for color, and optionally garnish with chives or herbs

Step 5: Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

-Results-

I doubled the recipe since instead of six eggs, I had twelve eggs.

(Be sure to wash your hands first) Washed the outsides of twelve eggs, started the boil in hot water then put the mode on high. Once the pot was at a decent boil, I changed the setting to six and a half with a timer of ten to twelve minutes.

I put the eggs in a separate pot with cool water and let it stand on the hob for ten minutes.

then lightly hit the shell with the handle of a spoon and peeled them. Rinsed them off then chopped them in half, after- got a glass bowl added six tsps. of mayonnaise, four tsp. of mustard, two tsp. of white vinegar, two pinches of salt and the yolk of the eggs and mixed.

Then carefully put them back into the egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika.

23 halves tots.

(Small note)-I forgot the pepper and was going to sprinkle it onto of the deviled eggs, I couldn’t find the pepper shaker :(

-Rates-

Aunts: 10/9, forgot the pepper (which to be fair i didn’t see pepper in the scratch instructions)

Mum: 10/8.5, bit much of paprika and no pepper.

My Rating: 10/8.5, got ill of the taste quickly, needed pepper.

YukkeTee: This isn’t just a romance. It’s the kind of slow-burn, messy kind of love that feels real—where two people carry scars and walls, and still choose each other anyway. The tension isn’t just between them; it’s in the quiet moments, the way they fumble through vulnerability, and the small, unspoken act...

Evtida: It was a very sweet story, but it felt rushed. It didn't really convey the emotions. For example, when the girl was kidnapped, instead of panicking, going crazy, and causing a scene, giving in felt strange... His exaggerated relationship with his gay friend was also odd in my opinion.
