Beauty, Mystery, and Something Dark Beneath It
"What pulled us into The Cursed Angel is the atmosphere. There’s this constant feeling that something beautiful is hiding something dangerous, whether it’s the forest, Maria’s family history, or the mysterious man who keeps appearing when things start getting strange. Maria is also easy to follow because she has a very distinct personality. She can be thoughtful and almost poetic one moment, then sarcastic, curious, or completely chaotic the next. Her relationship with Jane has been one of our favorite parts so far because their teasing actually feels like two sisters who love each other while also knowing exactly how to get on each other’s nerves. The mystery is slowly becoming more interesting too. Maria’s unusual connection to the forest, the strange creature, the mysterious blue-eyed man, the questions surrounding her mother, and even little details about Maria’s appearance all feel like pieces of something much larger. Readers who enjoy mysterious forests, supernatural secrets, family bonds, slow-burn intrigue, and heroines who probably ask one question too many for their own good should have fun with this one. — Fox & Knight"

"Okay, first of all, I have to say that this novel is one of a kind. It has romance, suspense, thriller, and most of all, DRAMA! 🔥 The author doesn't shy away from complicated and messy scenes and always keeps me entertained. I love the struggles and complicated relationships between each of the characters, and I would love to see the novel through to the end. However, my only complaint is that I got lost in some chapters and couldn't understand how some of the plots came about. If you could fix that problem, I'd really appreciate it. All in all, it's a great novel to read!"

"Genuinely highly intriguing first few chapters, the characters are quite relatable in a charming way. Main issue was slightly awkward/purple prose style descriptions that took me out of the story and into deciphering what the author meant by a certain phrase."
