Author's Note
Before you start, there’s something you should know about this story: I love it. Probably more than I should.
Kings and Queens was written as a novel, not as a serialized story, and I’ve decided to keep it that way. That means some of the chapters are longer than what you might normally find on reading platforms. I considered breaking them into smaller pieces, but ultimately, I wanted to preserve the rhythm and structure of the book as I originally wrote it.
This is a world I genuinely loved getting lost in. I loved its wolves and vampires, its witches and queens, its families, friendships, rivalries, and all the complicated relationships in between. But most of all, I loved these characters. They surprised me, frustrated me, made me laugh, and occasionally seemed to make their own decisions without consulting me—which, if you write fiction, you probably know is a very real problem.
So yes, some chapters may ask you to stay a little longer. Grab a coffee, get comfortable, and stay.
