KOREAN MAFIA'S INDIAN OBSESSION

CHAPTER 1

THE GIRL WHO DIDN'T KNOW HIS NAME

The rain had swallowed Seoul whole.

It poured relentlessly against the city, washing the streets beneath a thick curtain of silver. Water streamed from rooftops, flooded the edges of the roads, and turned the countless neon signs into blurred reflections beneath people's feet.

Umbrellas moved hurriedly through the streets.

Cars crawled through the rain.

People wanted nothing more than to reach their destinations and escape the cold.

But one particular vehicle moved through the chaos with an entirely different kind of presence.

A long, black Maybach.

Its windows were tinted so dark that nobody outside could see through them.

And nobody tried.

Because there were certain cars in Seoul that people recognized without ever needing to see the person sitting inside.

This was one of them.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Inside sat the most feared man in Korea's underworld.

Kim Taehyung.

Twenty-eight years old.

A mafia lord.

The man who controlled businesses on the surface and an empire beneath it.

His name alone was enough to silence a room.

Men twice his age lowered their heads when he entered.

Powerful businessmen carefully measured every word they spoke around him.

Enemies who once believed themselves untouchable vanished after crossing him.

And the men who worked for him understood one simple rule:

Never make Kim Taehyung repeat himself.

He sat in the back seat with one arm resting against the door.

His black suit was perfectly tailored.

His black shirt was buttoned neatly to the collar.

A silver watch rested against his wrist, catching the occasional flash of passing headlights.

His dark hair fell naturally across his forehead.

His expression?

Completely unreadable.

The driver kept both hands firmly on the steering wheel.

Beside the partition sat his personal assistant, Minho.

Minho had worked for Taehyung long enough to understand that silence was often safer than conversation.

"Sir."

His voice was careful.

Taehyung didn't look at him.

"The meeting at the eastern warehouse has been confirmed for eight-thirty."

A few seconds passed.

"Good."

One word.

That was enough.

"Yes, sir."

Minho immediately lowered his gaze.

Silence returned to the car.

Only the sound of rain against the windows remained.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Taehyung looked outside.

The city passed before his eyes in fragments.

Red traffic lights.

White headlights.

Umbrellas.

Buildings.

People.

Nothing caught his attention.

Nothing ever did.

His life had been built around power.

Money.

Control.

Loyalty.

Betrayal.

He had no room for unnecessary emotions.

Especially not relationships.

Women had never interested him.

He had never dated.

Never allowed himself to become emotionally attached.

Never brought anyone close enough to discover what existed behind the cold expression everyone feared.

Whenever women tried to approach him, they received the same response.

Nothing.

No interest.

No second glance.

To Taehyung, attachment was weakness.

And weakness was something he could never afford.

Then—

His eyes stopped.

A girl.

She was standing in the rain.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

At first, Taehyung barely noticed her.

She was simply another person caught outside during the storm.

But as the car moved closer, his attention remained on her.

She wasn't holding an umbrella.

Her long hair was completely soaked, strands sticking against her face and neck.

She wore an Indian outfit—a simple kurti with matching pants.

The clothes had probably looked beautiful before the rain.

Now they were covered in mud.

But she wasn't concerned about the weather anymore.

She was angry.

Very angry.

A young man stood in front of her beside a motorcycle.

Taehyung watched silently.

The girl pointed toward her clothes.

"You threw an entire puddle of mud on me!"

The boy shrugged.

"I told you, it was an accident."

"You were driving like a maniac!"

"I wasn't."

"Then how did this happen?"

"I don't know."

The girl stared at him in disbelief.

"At least apologize."

"I already said sorry."

"No, you didn't."

The boy sighed.

"It's just mud."

The girl's mouth fell open.

"Just mud?"

Taehyung's eyes narrowed slightly.

Interesting.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The boy looked irritated.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What?"

"It's not a big deal."

"You ruined my clothes!"

"It was an accident."

"You've said that three times."

"Because it's true."

"And I'm telling you to apologize properly."

The boy laughed.

Taehyung watched her carefully.

She wasn't frightened.

Not even slightly.

Most people avoided confrontation.

Especially with strangers.

Especially when they were alone.

But this girl?

She stood in the middle of a storm, completely soaked, arguing with a stranger as though fear wasn't even part of her vocabulary.

The boy stepped closer.

"You should watch how you talk."

The girl didn't move.

Instead, she looked directly into his eyes.

"You should watch how you drive."

The boy stared at her.

She stared back.

Neither moved.

For several seconds, the rain was the only sound between them.

Then she folded her arms.

"Apologize."

The boy looked at her as though he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You seriously want an apology?"

"Yes."

"For mud?"

"For ruining my clothes."

"It's not my fault it rained."

"I didn't say the rain was your fault."

She pointed toward the road.

"That was."

The boy opened his mouth.

Then closed it.

For once, he had no answer.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Inside the black car, Taehyung continued watching.

The driver noticed his attention through the mirror.

He immediately slowed the vehicle.

Taehyung's eyes remained on the girl.

"Stop."

The driver didn't ask why.

He pulled the car to the side of the road.

The Maybach came to a smooth stop.

Minho glanced toward Taehyung.

"Sir?"

Taehyung finally spoke.

"Who is she?"

Minho followed his gaze.

"The girl?"

Taehyung turned his eyes toward him.

The look was enough.

Minho immediately corrected himself.

"Forgive me, sir."

Taehyung looked back outside.

"Find out who she is."

"Yes, sir."

No questions.

No unnecessary conversation.

Minho immediately reached for his phone.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Outside, the argument continued.

"Fine."

The boy finally sighed.

"I'm sorry."

The girl frowned.

She wasn't satisfied.

"Properly."

The boy stared at her.

"Seriously?"

"Yes."

He looked toward the sky as though asking for patience.

Then he looked back at her.

"I'm sorry for splashing mud on you."

She nodded.

"Thank you."

The boy started his motorcycle.

Then stopped.

He looked at her clothes.

"You should probably change."

She stared at him.

"Really?"

But he was already driving away.

The girl watched him disappear into the rain.

For a moment, she simply stood there.

Then she looked down at herself.

Mud.

Everywhere.

She closed her eyes.

Took a deep breath.

And muttered under her breath.

"Great. Just great."

Inside the car, Taehyung's lips almost curved.

Almost.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The girl suddenly turned.

Her eyes moved across the road.

And then—

They stopped on the black Maybach.

For one brief second, her gaze met the dark tinted window.

Taehyung didn't move.

She couldn't see him.

The windows were too dark.

But he could see her perfectly.

Her eyes lingered on the car.

There was something curious in them.

Then she simply shrugged.

And turned away.

Taehyung's jaw tightened slightly.

He didn't know why.

He didn't know why that tiny moment had affected him.

Perhaps because everyone who ever saw his car knew exactly what it meant.

Everyone except her.

He leaned back.

"Drive."

The driver immediately obeyed.

The Maybach began moving.

But Taehyung looked back through the rear window.

The girl was still standing there.

Alone.

In the rain.

Watching the road.

He kept looking.

Until she became smaller.

Until the rain swallowed her figure.

Until she disappeared completely.

Only then did he turn away.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"Sir."

Minho's voice was quiet.

Taehyung looked toward him.

"I'll have the information shortly."

Taehyung gave a slight nod.

Nothing more.

The city continued passing outside.

But Taehyung's thoughts had already returned to the girl.

Her eyes.

Her voice.

Her fearless attitude.

And the fact that she had no idea who he was.

He didn't know why that mattered.

He simply knew that it did.

TWO HOURS LATER

The atmosphere inside Taehyung's private headquarters was completely different from the world outside.

There was no music.

No unnecessary conversation.

No laughter.

Only silence.

Men in dark suits stood around a long conference table.

Nobody sat until Taehyung entered.

Nobody spoke until he gave permission.

The doors opened.

Taehyung walked inside.

Every man immediately lowered his head.

"Good evening, sir."

Taehyung didn't respond.

He walked to the head of the table.

Sat down.

Then looked at them.

"Begin."

The meeting started.

Numbers.

Territories.

Money.

Deals.

Rival organizations.

Taehyung listened without expression.

One of the men explained the latest shipment.

Halfway through his report, he made a mistake.

He stopped.

The room became silent.

Taehyung slowly raised his eyes.

The man's face immediately lost color.

"Sir..."

He swallowed.

"I apologize."

Taehyung's voice was calm.

"How much?"

The man gave him the figure.

Taehyung leaned back.

His expression didn't change.

"Fix it."

"Yes, sir."

"And the person responsible?"

The man's throat moved nervously.

"We are handling it."

Taehyung stared at him.

"Make sure it is handled."

"Yes, sir."

Taehyung looked away.

The man immediately lowered his head.

Nobody spoke.

Nobody dared.

Because Taehyung never needed to shout.

His calmness was more frightening than anger.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The doors opened.

Minho entered.

He walked directly toward the table and stopped several feet away.

"Sir."

Taehyung looked at him.

"The information you requested."

Minho placed a file on the table.

Taehyung looked at it.

"Leave."

"Yes, sir."

Minho immediately turned and walked away.

Taehyung opened the file.

The first photograph appeared.

Her.

The girl from the rain.

Y/N.

For a moment, he simply stared at the photograph.

Twenty years old.

Indian.

University student.

In Korea for her studies.

No criminal connections.

No suspicious history.

No connection to his world.

Completely ordinary.

Taehyung turned the page.

University.

Residence.

Background.

Family.

Everything was there.

He read silently.

Then his eyes stopped.

Relationship history: None.

His fingers stopped moving.

His expression remained cold.

But something inside him shifted.

Why had he even needed to know that?

He closed the file.

Then opened it again.

He looked at her photograph.

Those fearless eyes.

That stubborn expression.

The girl who had stood in the rain and demanded an apology from a stranger.

Taehyung leaned back slowly.

For years, women had tried to get close to him.

Beautiful women.

Powerful women.

Women who knew exactly who he was.

He had rejected every single one.

But this girl?

She didn't even know his name.

She had looked directly at his car without knowing that the most dangerous man in Seoul was sitting behind the glass.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips.

It wasn't warm.

It wasn't gentle.

It was something darker.

Something unfamiliar.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Taehyung looked at the photograph one final time.

"Y/N."

Her name left his lips quietly.

The office was empty.

Nobody heard him.

Nobody saw the strange interest in his eyes.

Nobody knew that the most feared man in Korea had just memorized the face of a girl he'd watched for less than five minutes.

And nobody could have guessed what would happen when their paths crossed again.

Because Taehyung had always believed one thing:

People entered his life for a reason.

And if fate had placed that girl directly in front of his car...

Perhaps he wasn't going to let her disappear so easily.

He closed the file.

His expression became cold again.

"Find out everything."

Outside, thunder shook the city.

And somewhere across Seoul, completely unaware of what had just happened—

Y/N was walking back toward her apartment.

Still wearing clothes covered in mud.

Still annoyed about the boy on the motorcycle.

Still thinking tonight had simply been a terrible evening.

She had no idea...

That the man who had watched her from behind the dark window was not an ordinary stranger.

She had no idea that her name now sat inside the private files of one of the most dangerous men in the country.

And she certainly had no idea...

That the next time she saw Kim Taehyung—

she wouldn't be able to simply walk away.
