Chapter 1

I’m lying in my bed and just thinking.

I can’t sleep.

Tomorrow, I’m going to Italy with my family, we are visiting Milan.

I’m like excited, but not too much, I would rather stay at home, but I am going because I think that in Italy, there will be a lot of things and people that could look great in my sketchbook.

I’m just really happy because Kai is going too.

He is my best friend from birth and we are like inseparable.

I am really scared because I’ve never been out of Croatia and there will be a lot of people so that’s why I would rather stay at home.

I really don’t like being in the crowded places, but at least I will have someone that isn’t my parents and sisters and that someone is Kai.

I like spending time with him, I like when we play volleyball because then I feel free, I like when we’re gaming, cause then I always beat him, I also like when we’re in silence, when I’m drawing, and he is just scrolling on his phone.

We get each other from when we we’re little till now and I really am glad that he is going to be with us there.

Honestly the best part of the trip is visiting the Monza racetrack.

I am so looking forward to it, because I am a big Formula 1 fan, and there I will be seeing famous Formula 1 driver whose name is Alex Archer.

I am always so amazed by his races, and I always watch every single one of them.

Alex and I have actually been texting for the past few weeks.

It all started by pure luck when I replied to one of his random stories on social media, and out of millions of fans, he actually texted me back!

My heart literally stops every time my phone glows with a message from him, and I can’t believe that in just a few days, I might actually see him in person.

He is 15 years old just like Kai, he has blue eyes, and light brown curly hair.

Alex is the first person after Kai that I can talk to completely open, without any worries what he will think of me.

I always imagine my life if Alex were a part of it, and it’s happy, but my life is happy right now because I know that I have my best friend Kai with me.

I was thinking about Alex, Monza, and Italy, and then I fell asleep and I dreamed nothing.
