A SWEET STRANGER, STILL

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

**What happens when the person who makes your heart beat again is also the person who teaches you how badly it can hurt?** It was just a random Tuesday night in Da Nang. She was out with her girlfriend, expecting nothing more than an ordinary night. Then she met **G#**—a quiet, humble Englishman who seemed to live comfortably inside his own world. He wasn't the kind of man she expected to fall for. Maybe that's why she did. What began with a glance across a bar slowly became something neither of them could completely walk away from. She became attached to him in a way she had never experienced before—waiting for his messages, wanting his attention, craving his presence, and sometimes crying because she couldn't understand how one person could have such a hold over her heart. But G# needed space. She needed closeness. He was nonchalant. She felt everything too deeply. And somewhere between the nights together, the days apart, the arguments, the tenderness, and the uncertainty, they became something neither of them quite knew how to define. Then came the lie. A hidden truth. Another woman. A betrayal that changed the way she saw the man she loved. Now she has to face the hardest question of all: **Can you still love someone after they give you a reason not to trust them?** Their story isn't a perfect romance. It's messy. It's obsessive. It's tender. It's painful. It's about two people who wanted different things, yet somehow kept finding their way back to each other. And maybe the hardest part isn't letting him go. Maybe it's accepting that the man who broke her heart was also the man who reminded her that she still had one.

The Random Tuesday

The Random Tuesday

It was just a Tuesday night.

Nothing special.

Nothing planned.

I wasn’t looking for love.

I wasn’t looking for a man.

I wasn’t even thinking that the night would become a memory I would carry with me long after it was over.

I was simply out with my girlfriend at a bar in Da Nang.

The kind of night that should have disappeared into all the other ordinary nights.

And then there was G,

I didn’t know his name yet.

I didn’t know where he was from.

I didn’t know when he was born, or that he was from the UK. I didn’t know about his life, his work, his little habits, his need for space, or the complicated person he would eventually become to me.

At that moment, he was just a stranger.

A sweet stranger.

And sometimes life doesn’t announce the people who are going to change you.

They simply walk into an ordinary night.

You meet them.

You look at them.

You talk.

And somewhere between one ordinary moment and the next, your life quietly takes a different direction.

That was G.

I wasn’t looking for him.

But somehow, I found him.
