Summary

Part Two — Beyond the Shadow: The Unseen Truth Vivan suddenly finds himself back at his grandparents' house, the very place where everything began. Confused about whether he is dreaming or experiencing something paranormal, he tries to uncover the truth while strange events continue to occur. He hears an unknown voice whisper his name, experiences terrifying encounters with a dark figure, and repeatedly finds himself caught between his own room and his grandparents' house. Even after months of peace, the nightmare returns when Vivan encounters the smiling shadow again during a terrifying night of sleep paralysis. The final encounter leaves Vivan traumatized when he wakes up at his grandparents' house with a saline drip attached to his hand and a fever, unable to understand how he got there. Yet the greatest mystery remains unanswered: Who—or what—is the shadow? Part Two ends without revealing its identity, leaving the mystery open for another story.

Chapter One

– The Morning That Shouldn’t Exist

Vivan woke up with a violent gasp, his heart pounding against his chest. Sweat clung to his skin as he looked around in panic.

The old wooden celling. The faded walls. His grandparents’ house. He sat upright, trying to steady his breathing.

“What...?”

Was it all dream? No… it had felt too real.

The shadow. The screams. The ritual. Everything.

His mind raced with questions.

“How am I back here?”

“If all of that really happened… why is everyone alive?”

He rushed outside.

The morning sun warmed the countryside. His grandparents were laughing as they prepared breakfast. His cousins chased each other through the yard as if nothing had ever happened.

Everyone was alive. Everyone was smiling. Relief washed over him, but it lasted only a moment.

Something felt… wrong.

Trying act normal, he joined them for breakfast. Later, he went fishing with his cousins exactly as he remembered from months ago.

Every conversation… Every laugh… Every step…

It was happening exactly the same way. By, the evening the cousins gathered together to tell ghost stories. He froze. A cold chill crawled down his spine. Under his breath, he whispered “This is where it all begun.”

His eyes searched every corner of the old house. If this wasn’t a dream… Then what was it?

A second chance?

A trap?

Or something far more terrifying than the shadow itself?

user-tYYAB62Jw9: I loved your/this story, thank you 😊 . Look forward to more writings. I was so invested in the kids. Curious who or which one is Annie's mate. Maybe Dylan since Collin is a werewolf. Although she'd also make a good Luna. Smiles 🙂

Roxx@n: It was longer, it was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to see if Carlos became a great dad and he Grayson his friend out loud. He's rather closed off so a lil broader back story would be nice. And yes the wedding and twins announcement. A girl can hope right?

E: I like it but the style is just a little too disjointed. The short snippet sentences work in certain moments, but there are so many that it doesn't feel like it's flowing as well as it could be. I really like the plot and plan to continue. That is just meant as a little form of feedback. Thanks for ...
