Prologue

Frankie's POV.

"Good morning class,I hope you all are prepared for today's test"I heard Mrs. Evans say as soon as she stood in front of the class. A vicious smile plastered on her lips. The sleeping me immediately sprang up from the table, eyes half shut and mouth hanging loose, some drool spilled on my arm as I wiped it off with my sleeve. I looked  left and right to make sure no one had seen me. After blowing a sigh of relieve, I looked around the class to see the look of confusion on the faces of everyone. People where murmuring,  others silently cussing in protest. There was utter pandemonium in the class as everyone grumbled and complained, looking at one another to confirm what they had just heard.

Mrs. Evans was quite popular among the student body for always coming out of nowhere with her surprise class tests. She always knew how to give someone a heart attack. Rumors had it that she hated her job and made it her duty to ruin students lives.

"But Mrs. Evans, we were not informed of this test" Marilyn the class president spoke up and murmurs of approval rumbled through the classroom as everyone nodded.

"Well then I take it that you are ready for the test then, let's begin" Mrs Evans said as she turned to the board writing Geography in capital letters.  Marilyn sat down in defeat. We all knew this would happen. It always did. Mrs. Evans never changed her mind.

Everyone brought out their books and started writing down the questions on the board.  I never learned till exams was approaching or we had an upcoming test so I knew I was doomed.

Who knew? I thought. Perhaps the test won't be hard. I was totally wrong. The first question  immediately extinguished the little hope I had. I knew I was gonna fail before I even held my pen.

Mrs. Evans always had this little game she played, everytime we took her test. The five worst students would have to pick from a pencil jar some folded piece of paper each. Everyone was always anxious and in cold sweat when this time came. This was judgement day. No one wanted to be called. All you had to do was cross your fingers and say a silent prayer. There was no escaping this. The loser works at her home for a week.

So, to speak of it, after we submitted our work she graded it  and started her game.  All the while that evil smirk was  plastered on her face. I caught a glint of satisfaction in  her eyes as she looked up to see our paranoid faces. Well done Mrs Evans, well done!!.

My heart started to pound hard against my ribcage so hard I could get a heart attack. People started to murmur as some shivered. The girl who sat next to me in class looked like she wanted to poop. Her face was literally screaming "just kill me already".

Yep, that's just how serious this was. Past victims have testified what they went through in the hands of

Mrs.Evans. It was not something little.

I immediately made eye contact with Jane my bff and we exchanged worried looks. I could already tell that this was going to be a really long day.

Mrs Evans began to call out names.
