MURDER FOR TIME:Season 3

The lights exploded.

Jake, Cameron, and Jaxon stood in the darkness.

For several seconds, nobody moved.

Then the emergency lights turned on.

The creature from behind the door was gone.

Jake looked around.

JAKE: “Where did it go?”

Jaxon looked at the floor.

A trail of dark energy stretched down the hallway.

JAXON: “It didn’t leave.”

Cameron summoned his devil dogs.

CAMERON: “Then where is it?”

A loud crash came from above them.

BOOM!

The entire building shook.

Jake looked toward the stairs.

JAKE: “Upstairs.”

They raced back toward the school.

When they reached the hallway, they found complete chaos.

The timer had changed again.

A message appeared on every phone.

BLOOD BATH

ONE HOUR. ONE WINNER.

Cameron stared at the screen.

CAMERON: “What does that mean?”

Jaxon shook his head.

JAXON: “It means everyone in this school has been put into one giant battle.”

Jake looked at the students.

JAKE: “Then we’re protecting them.”

Suddenly, the hallway doors burst open.

Players rushed toward them.

Jake charged forward.

Cameron summoned his devil dogs.

Jaxon released a massive wave of electricity.

The three fought together, pushing the attackers back without giving them a chance to reach the other students.

CAMERON: “We’re actually getting good at this!”

Jake smiled.

JAKE: “Don’t celebrate yet!”

A powerful blast suddenly hit the floor.

Everyone stopped.

A new figure stood at the end of the hallway.

He wore a black mask.

MASKED BOY: “Jake.”

Jake stepped forward.

JAKE: “Who are you?”

The masked boy removed his mask.

MASKED BOY: “My name is ZANE.”

Jaxon immediately recognized him.

JAXON: “Zane…”

Zane smiled.

ZANE: “Long time no see.”

Jake looked at Jaxon.

JAKE: “You know him?”

Jaxon clenched his fists.

JAXON: “He’s one of them.”

Zane laughed.

ZANE: “And you betrayed us.”

Electricity surrounded Jaxon’s body.

JAXON: “I chose my own side.”

Zane raised his hand.

ZANE: “Then choose carefully.”

He released a massive blast.

Jaxon blocked it.

The impact sent both of them flying in opposite directions.

Jake and Cameron rushed forward.

JAKE: “Jaxon!”

Jaxon stood up.

JAXON: “I’m fine.”

Cameron looked at Zane.

CAMERON: “Then let’s finish this.”

The devil dogs appeared.

Jake powered up.

Jaxon raised both hands.

All three attacked together.

Zane fought back with incredible speed.

The hallway shook with every collision.

Finally, Jake landed a powerful attack that knocked Zane backward.

Cameron summoned a giant devil dog.

Jaxon released his strongest electrical blast.

The attacks hit Zane simultaneously.

Zane fell to the floor.

His timer reached zero.

Zane disappeared.

The entire school went silent.

Then everyone’s phones displayed another message.

BLOOD BATH — PHASE 2

Jake stared at the screen.

JAKE: “It wasn’t over.”

Jaxon looked toward the windows.

Outside, thousands of lights appeared across the city.

Cameron slowly stepped backward.

CAMERON: “Guys…”

Jake turned around.

The city was filled with people whose timers had activated.

Jaxon looked terrified.

JAXON: “The game just expanded.”

Jake clenched his fists.

JAKE: “Then we’ll fight together.”

Cameron nodded.

CAMERON: “Together.”

Jaxon smiled.

JAXON: “Together.”

Above the city, a giant countdown appeared in the sky.

The three friends looked at each other.

The real Blood Bath had just begun.
