"This story is a really emotional and serious read. It follows Amber Lee, a girl who seems normal from the outside but is struggling with loneliness, school rumours, pressure, and feeling unnoticed. I liked how the story showed that someone can be good at school, kind to others, and still be going through something nobody knows about. Amber was probably my favourite part of the story because she felt realistic. She is always there for other people, but rarely feels like anyone is there for her. Her relationship with Nate was also interesting because he genuinely cared about her, even though he didn't always know how to help. The story has a very dark ending, but I think the author's note is important because it makes clear that the events aren't being presented as a solution to suffering. The story's main message, to me, is that people should pay attention to those around them and speak up when someone is struggling. Overall the story was emotional and memorable. It definitely made me think about how much we can miss about what someone is going through. "
