Character Introductions
🖤 Adrian Vale
Age: 29Position: Executive Director, Vale & Hart Publishing
Adrian Vale is the kind of man who can silence an entire room simply by walking into it.
Calm. Controlled. Precise.
He doesn’t raise his voice because he has never needed to. One look from him is usually enough to make people reconsider whatever they were about to say.
Adrian believes everything has a place—his files, his schedule, his office, and his life.
He hates unnecessary conversations, lateness, excuses, and people who don’t take their work seriously.
What he hates most?
Chaos.
Which makes Mira Sen his personal nightmare.
Behind Adrian’s cold personality is a man carrying years of responsibility. He grew up believing that mistakes have consequences and emotions should never interfere with important decisions.
He rarely lets anyone close.
He trusts very few people.
And he has absolutely no idea what to do when the one person who constantly irritates him becomes the person he begins looking for whenever she isn’t around.
☕ Mira Sen
Age: 25Position: Executive Secretary to Adrian Vale
Mira Sen is chaos in human form.
She talks too much when she’s nervous, argues when she’s annoyed, makes dramatic expressions without realizing it, and has an impressive talent for finding trouble in places where trouble shouldn’t exist.
She’s stubborn.
She’s emotional.
She’s sarcastic.
And she absolutely refuses to be intimidated by Adrian Vale.
Mira isn’t careless, though.
Behind the jokes and dramatic reactions is a hardworking woman who desperately wants to prove that she deserves her place in the professional world.
She notices everything.
She simply doesn’t always know what to do with what she notices.
Mira’s biggest defense is humor. Whenever something hurts, she jokes. Whenever she’s scared, she talks. Whenever she’s embarrassed, she becomes even more dramatic.
Adrian slowly becomes the first person who notices what’s underneath all of it.
And Mira slowly becomes the first person who makes Adrian question the walls he’s spent years building.
😏 Noah Bennett
Age: 30Position: Chief Operating Officer & Adrian’s Best Friend
Noah Bennett is the only person in the company who can walk into Adrian’s office without knocking and somehow survive.
Charming, sarcastic, confident, and completely incapable of taking Adrian’s seriousness seriously.
Noah has known Adrian for years, which means he knows exactly how difficult his best friend can be.
He also notices something everyone else misses.
Adrian changes around Mira.
Noah finds this absolutely hilarious.
He becomes Mira’s unofficial ally and Adrian’s biggest source of irritation.
His favorite hobby quickly becomes watching his best friend lose arguments to his own secretary.
🌸 Sophie Rao
Age: 25Position: Marketing Coordinator & Mira’s Best Friend
Sophie is Mira’s safe place.
She’s practical where Mira is chaotic, patient where Mira is dramatic, and usually the person who has to deal with the consequences of Mira’s decisions.
She knows Mira better than almost anyone.
Sophie is also the first person to recognize that Mira’s constant complaints about Adrian are becoming suspiciously detailed.
She listens to every argument, every workplace disaster, and every tiny interaction.
And she absolutely refuses to believe Mira when she says:
“I don’t care about him.”
🔥 Ethan Vale
Age: 26Position: Creative Director
Ethan is Adrian’s younger brother.
Unlike Adrian, Ethan is relaxed, warm, social, and openly emotional.
He doesn’t understand why his brother treats feelings like dangerous paperwork.
Ethan quickly likes Mira—not romantically, but because he finds her honesty refreshing.
He becomes one of the few people who can tease Adrian about Mira without immediately getting thrown out of the room.
More importantly, Ethan understands Adrian’s past.
He knows why his brother became so guarded.
And eventually, he becomes one of the people who pushes Adrian to stop running from what he feels.
🥂 Clara Morgan
Age: 28Position: Senior Executive & Head of Corporate Relations
Clara is intelligent, ambitious, elegant, and extremely good at her job.
She’s worked with Adrian for several years and understands his professional world better than almost anyone.
Because of their history, people naturally assume there’s something between them.
There isn’t.
At least, not in the way everyone thinks.
Clara isn’t going to be a stereotypical villain.
She’s ambitious, independent, and has her own goals.
But her closeness to Adrian becomes one of the first things that makes Mira question where she stands in his life.
🌿 Evelyn Hart
Age: 58Position: Senior Administrator & Longtime Vale Family Associate
Evelyn has worked with the Vale family for decades.
She has watched Adrian grow from a difficult teenager into the controlled man he is today.
She knows his habits.
His temper.
His silences.
And the things he refuses to say.
Evelyn quickly develops a soft spot for Mira.
She finds Mira’s chaotic personality amusing and secretly enjoys watching her challenge Adrian.
More importantly, Evelyn sees something before either of them does.
Mira doesn’t make Adrian weaker.
She makes him human.
💼 Daniel Cross
Age: 34Position: Senior Editor
Daniel is one of the company’s most respected employees.
Professional, intelligent, and easygoing, he becomes someone Mira can comfortably work with.
His friendly relationship with Mira eventually becomes another source of Adrian’s unexplained irritation.
Adrian insists it has nothing to do with jealousy.
Nobody believes him.
Least of all Noah.
🖤 THE DYNAMIC
Adrian + Mira:Cold control meets complete chaos.
Mira + Sophie:Best friends, endless gossip, emotional support, and questionable decisions.
Adrian + Noah:Best friends who behave more like enemies.
Adrian + Ethan:Brothers with years of history, arguments, and unspoken loyalty.
Mira + Noah:Partners in annoying Adrian.
Mira + Evelyn:Unexpected friendship.
Adrian + Clara:Professional history that looks suspicious from the outside.
Mira + Daniel:Easy friendship that accidentally creates problems.
And somewhere between all these relationships, Adrian and Mira slowly become something neither of them planned for.
Not immediately.
Not easily.
But eventually...
home to each other
