Theirs to Ruin {The Claimed Duet #2}

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Four years after the woman they loved sent them to prison, Damon and Dacre Hargrove are out. Navira Calloway has spent that time playing the role expected of her as the mayor’s daughter, careful not to step out of line. When the twins return to Emerald Bay, she knows they hate her. She thinks she’s prepared for it. She is not. What starts as revenge quickly spirals out of control. The Hargrove twins want her to feel what she did to them, but the closer they get, the harder it is to ignore the history between them. As the past comes back into focus and old secrets begin to surface in Emerald Bay, Navi is forced to face what really happened because somewhere underneath the lies she can never fully take back, she is still theirs. And the twins, despite everything, are not done with her yet. Please note: Theirs to Ruin a direct sequel in The Claimed Duet. You need to read “Theirs to Keep” first. This book will not make sense without it.

Author's Note

Hello,

If you’re reading this, it means you made it to the end of Theirs to Keep. Sorry about that cliffhanger. It hurt me too while I was writing it. There were moments I stared at my outline and notes thinking, “Do I really have to leave them here?” And the answer, unfortunately, was yes. Some characters don’t get soft landings just because we love them, especially not in this story.

This book took a long time to plan. I wanted to do justice to these characters and to everything that happened at the end of Theirs to Keep. Thank you for being patient and for coming back. I hope you find something worth the wait in these pages.

For those who are new here, I write dark romance. That means morally gray (and often morally black) characters, heavy subject matter, explicit content, and endings that are not easy. If you prefer soft romance, this is probably not the series for you.

Theirs to Ruin does not soften what the first book began. This will be darker than the first. If you came here looking for a gentle second-chance romance, this is not that story. The twins are not here to heal quietly. If at any point, you need to step away, scream into a pillow, or leave a slightly unhinged message for me about how dare I… I guess I understand.

Now without further ado, here are the content warnings.

This book contains explicit content and themes that some readers will find disturbing. Please protect your peace and read the following carefully.

  • Non-consensual and dubiously consensual sexual situations
  • Obsessive and possessive behavior
  • Stalking and intimidation
  • Physical assault
  • Manipulation, coercion, and blackmail
  • Captivity and imprisonment
  • Kidnapping
  • Psychological torture and emotional abuse
  • Explicit sexual content involving power imbalance, degradation, verbal humiliation, and rough play
  • Mentions of child abuse, past sexual assault and trauma
  • Familial abuse and coercion
  • Sensory deprivation
  • Orgasm denial and control
  • Primal play
  • Sharing
  • Graphic violence and injury
  • Knife play & blood play
  • Fearplay
  • Voyeurism
  • Wrongful imprisonment
  • Death of a family member/grief
  • Depression, panic attacks, and mental health distress
  • Attempted Suicide
  • Murder (on-page and referenced)
  • Political corruption and cover-ups

If any of the above is harmful for you, it is more than okay to step away. Your safety matters more than any story.

If you choose to continue, thank you for trusting me with your time and your heart enough to follow Navira, Damon, and Dacre this far. I hope you enjoy.

With love and a little bit of guilt,

-🥀
