Summary

PRÓLOGO

Hay incendios que comienzan con una pequeña chispa. Algunos crecen hasta volverse imposibles de controlar; otros se extinguen antes de convertirse en algo más que un amago.

Pero también existen aquellos que nadie puede ver. Los que no necesitan llamas para consumirnos por dentro.

Siempre creí que el fuego solo quemaba aquello que tocaba. Jamás imaginé que también pudiera causar heridas sin necesidad de una sola llama.

Él era un chico que deseaba conocer el amor verdadero y ella, una chica que anhelaba sentirse amada o, al menos, escuchada. Dos personas con distintas maneras de entender el amor, sin imaginar cuánto cambiarían sus vidas después de encontrarse.

Es curioso cómo podemos entregar tanto de nosotros a alguien, hasta el punto de olvidarnos de lo que también merecemos recibir. Cómo podemos preocuparnos tanto por hacer feliz a otra persona que dejamos de preguntarnos si nosotros también lo somos.

A veces me pregunto si el amor realmente cambia a las personas o si simplemente nos permite descubrir partes de ellas que antes no habíamos visto

Quizás nunca encuentre una respuesta.

Esta no es solamente una historia de amor. Es la historia de dos personas que se encontraron sin saber cuánto llegarían a significar la una para la otra. Pero también es la historia de una chica que, mientras intentaba comprender a alguien más, comenzó a descubrir cuánto le faltaba comprender de sí misma.

Porque hay fuegos que se apagan antes de convertirse en incendios.

Y hay otros que, aun sin mostrar una sola llama, dejan cenizas imposibles de borrar.
