Chapter 2
Amaya's pov:
Next Day~
The next morning, I got ready early and wore one of the outfits I bought yesterday.
I was nervous but excited too.
When I reached the college campus, it was huge and full of students.
My friends and I were walking through the corridor when a group of seniors passed by us.
One of my friends suddenly whispered, “That’s the student union.”
I looked up.
The guy walking in front suddenly turned his head slightly… and my eyes widened.
It was him.
The same guy from the café.
He noticed me too and stopped for a second.
“Well,” he said with a small smirk, “looks like the girl who bumped into me yesterday is in this college.”
I crossed my arms.
“And looks like the guy who can’t hold his coffee properly studies here too.”
His friends looked surprised.
Rudransh raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.
“Careful,” he said. “You’re a junior.”
“And?” I replied. “That doesn’t mean you can blame people for your own mistakes.”
For a moment, he just stared at me.
Then one of his friends said, “Rudransh, orientation is about to start.”
He nodded.
Before leaving, he looked at me again.
“See you around, Ms…?”
“Amaya,” I replied.
He smiled slightly.
“See you around, Amaya.”
Then he walked away with his friends.
My friend grabbed my arm.
“Amaya! Do you know who that was?”
“Yes,” I sighed. “The most annoying person I’ve met.”
“That was Rudransh Malhotra, one of the student union members.”
I looked in the direction he walked.
“Great,” I muttered.
“Looks like college is going to be interesting.”
My friends and I entered the auditorium where the orientation was going to take place. The hall was huge and almost full of students.
We found some empty seats in the middle and sat down.
“I’m so nervous,” one of my friends whispered.
“Relax,” I said. “It’s just college, not an interview.”
A few minutes later, some seniors walked onto the stage. They were part of the student union, helping organize the orientation.
And of course… Rudransh Malhotra was among them.
I rolled my eyes immediately.
“Why is he everywhere?” I muttered quietly.
My friend elbowed me. “Shhh… he might hear you.”
Rudransh stood near the microphone with another senior. He looked confident and relaxed as he spoke to the students.
“Good morning everyone,” he said. “Welcome to your first day here. Don’t worry, college isn’t as scary as it looks.”
Some students laughed softly.
I crossed my arms and looked away.
After the speech, the seniors started guiding the new students around the campus in small groups.
Unfortunately… my group was assigned to Rudransh.
“Great,” I whispered to myself.
Rudransh looked at the list in his hand and then glanced at our group.
When his eyes landed on me, he smirked slightly.
“Well… what a coincidence,” he said.
I ignored him and looked at my phone.
“Alright juniors,” he said casually, “follow me. I’ll show you the important places in the college.”
We started walking through the campus.
“This is the library,” he explained. “And that building is for the science department.”
While everyone listened carefully, I was walking behind the group.
Suddenly Rudransh stopped walking.
Because I wasn’t paying attention, I almost bumped into him again.
He turned around quickly.
“Careful,” he said with a teasing smile. “You really have a habit of bumping into people.”
I glared at him.
“Maybe you just have a habit of standing in people’s way.”
A few students around us chuckled quietly.
Rudransh shook his head slightly, amused.
“Interesting junior,” he said.
Then he continued walking.
But I had a strange feeling…
This annoying senior was definitely going to become a big problem in my college life.
