Chapter 1: Purple Blood Realm Experts

A serious discussion broke out among the martial artists gathered here on the road leading to the Red Cloud Sea. Their faces were equally grave, as though they still could not believe the things they had discovered. Each of them was still trying to digest the truth about the impostor who had posed as the leader of the failed groups of martial artists—groups that should have already reached the Red Cloud Sea by now yet were still on the road.

Everyone present remained silent while the true leader of the failed group of martial artists spoke with them.

“What should we do, Lord Rong, now that you are here? Would you like us to simply leave this place or shall we continue our journey toward the coastal area of the Red Cloud Sea?!” said the man at the Late Xiantian Realm. It could be said that he had been one of the spokesmen for this group while their leader had been absent. Lord Rong was the man in the black mask, their actual leader.

“What else? Of course we continue the journey. Surely none of you are thinking of backing out now, are you?! I even heard that any one of you might be lucky enough to obtain rare treasures in the outer part of the forbidden zone, where the corpse suspected to be the body of an immortal lies,” Lord Rong, the man in the black mask, said seriously, though he also seemed quite pleased.

Everyone seemed to gasp, especially the failed groups of martial artists. They were certain that they might obtain rare treasures in the very place they were heading to. After all, who would not want to obtain such things when all of them were hoping to bring something back for themselves and for the families waiting for them?

Some of the failed groups of martial artists could no longer stop themselves from speaking.

“Is that true, leader? Then you have confirmed the news that arrived!”

“If fortune really favors you, then the heavens truly do not close every path where blessings may descend!”

“At last, I’ll be able to obtain a treasure for myself!”

These were only some of the statements from the failed martial artists. Everyone stopped speaking when the two Peak Purple Blood Realm Experts, whom they seemed to have forgotten, finally spoke, especially since they had not said a word earlier.

“We will travel ahead first, Lord Rong. We need to capture that Demonic Path Cultivator, especially since it seems he is still plotting something terrible against everyone. Your journey will not be safe if you go ahead first. It would be better for all of you to travel together later,” said the extremely beautiful woman who was a Peak Purple Blood Realm Expert. She wore a white robe that suited her fair complexion. One might think she was only an ordinary woman but her strength and abilities were surely not to be underestimated.

“She is right, Lord Rong. All of you will follow your leaders. You must be in proper condition before you travel because you may encounter something unpleasant along the way. Your journey will still be dangerous but we will make sure to capture that escaped prisoner,” said the other Peak Purple Blood Realm Expert, a man. He immediately brought out a long sword and threw it into the air. The man quickly leaped upward and stepped onto the sword, which was a rare tool seldom seen in public places.

The two leaders of the two groups nodded in response. It could be seen that both group leaders held respect for the woman and the man, who were both Peak Purple Blood Realm Experts.

The beautiful woman who was a Peak Purple Blood Realm Expert also floated upward, moving beside the location of the male Peak Purple Blood Realm Expert, who was already riding his Flying Sword.

“Please be careful on your journey, Miss Niu and Lord Ping. I hope you both remain safe!” Lord Rong said while looking at the departing beings who were at the same Cultivation level as him yet with the breadth of responsibility and ability they possessed, he was certain he would only lose to them.

The two Peak Purple Blood Realm Experts, Miss Niu and Lord Ping, simply nodded. Soon after, they quickly left and headed toward the Red Cloud Sea.

The two groups decided to travel together instead, though it could still be seen that they were not comfortable with one another, especially since the two groups had truly gone through a confrontation. Only the Xiantian Realm Experts among them were speaking to one another, along with the two Peak Purple Blood Realm Experts who stood as their leaders.

The others who had been injured were also being treated, while several other martial artists began cultivating here as well in order to restore their condition. Traveling here was exhausting, after all, and they could not afford to be weakened later, especially because once they arrived there, it would surely become a race of speed and luck as to whether they could find rare things and treasures there, namely cultivation herbs that only a few ever encountered. If they were fortunate, they might even come across rare and premium herbs. Just thinking about this made everyone feel as though their blood had come alive again, all for the sake of obtaining these rare things and treasures.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The fake man in the black mask dodged one trap after another that seemed to have been planted along the road he was taking.

There was no denying that his left shoulder had been struck and damaged earlier by something unusual hidden inside a tree.

“Hmmp! Who would have thought someone would plant a rare talisman here in this place? Damn it!” said the impostor Lord Rong. He could still be seen holding his injured left shoulder. A mixture of black and red liquid was flowing out from the very wound on his shoulder. Even so, a demonic grin still appeared on his face.

He thought that he was not mistaken, and a familiar idea entered his mind. It could be said that the signs he was thinking about could not be ignored either.
