Story
Stress used to swim in my mind. Now it is not as often anymore. I have lost ninety percent of my bewildered thoughts to some sort of abyssmal void. Like a Rabbit pausing mid escape after realizing they have already outran the danger. Though, I'm content with this beautiful simple life. The quiet northern side leaves me unafraid, and stress-free.
Standing infront of me, smiling. I don't know who she is, but she is a dominant figure now, a big addition to the already dreamlike snowy woods that I wander.
"Hey." She called out
I forgot about the paperwork in the clasps of my gloves.
"Oh— right."
My warm fingers touch the surface of her frosty skin. It's wonderful to the touch. Smooth and buttery, but it reminds me how out of my league She is.
"It's alright." She says
She sets the paperwork under her arm. Emerald green hair shining faintly under the saturated cold.
"You look like you could use a little help."
"Nah... I'm ok." I reply
Something pulls me. Her hand clamped down on my hand, almost possessively.
"I can help you. Let me warm you up a little at my place."
She took me along, and I didn't put up much protest. Maybe this is a reward. What goes around comes around, even though I never believed in karma. I guess this is what I get for pushing through my hard times.
