Chapter 1- Saturday Play
As I stood in line at Starbucks for my usual Pumpkin Spice Latte, I could feel my mouth watering as I watched her move back and forth. She was creating little perfections of latte's. I didn't care that it was a crowded Saturday with women coming in with their snug yoga pants, obviously coming from yoga. I didn't care that I would only have two minutes of her time. I didn't care if she saw my wedding ring, full of white sapphires. I had to have her. She had smooth skin, the color of caramel squares. Her hair was a giant thick mass of tight curls, which she wore loose and free. Her eyes were dark brown and slanted. She had a cute chubby nose, and her lips were thick and full. They were so plush, I wanted to suck on them every time I came in here. She had the nerve to paint them a deep wine color today. I approached the cash register.
"Welcome to Starbucks!" She finally looked up from wiping her hands on her smock. "Oh, hey Vivian! Did you want your usual?" She smiled. I nearly fainted. I'm so enraptured by this woman. Her breathing was slightly rushed, causing her cream-colored blouse to heave a little. She was excited to see me. Please let one of those buttons pop! I shook away my thoughts of fantasy.
"Hey, Zara! Yes, I'd like my usual, please, sweetheart."
"Sweetheart, huh?" She glanced at my ring. "Looks like you're already somebody's sweetheart."
She sashayed away, swinging her hips, as she made her way to the counter to make my usual. She knew I was watching. We played this cat and mouse game every Saturday, and I never missed a day. She liked it, and I loved it. I was getting a date or a number today. I wasn't leaving without one or the other. She came back, carrying my order, smiling. She sat my steaming cup down on the counter. Her manicured hands were still wrapped around my cup. I wrapped my hands around hers.
"It's so hot…. can I get one of those sleeves, sweetness?"
She blushed. "I already put one on there for you. Would you like anything else?" She gazed at me seductively. I leaned in to place my money in her hands and inhaled her fragrance. Her thick hair gave off a scent of Alma oil, and her skin must've been coated in Cocoa butter. Damn, she smelled delicious! I needed her! I smiled and let my eyes wander over her blouse, slowly.
"I want to take you out tonight."
"We already talked about this, V. You're already taken." Zara pouted, with a slight edge to her voice.
"And, I keep telling you, the hubby and I have an understanding. Don't worry; I'll make you understand. You'll be mine soon enough, sweetheart."
I took my usual and strutted out the door in my black silk blouse, wine-colored slacks, and black ankle boots. She was watching; I could feel it. I slid into my black Audi and peeled off into the rainy streets.
As I was speeding through traffic, a call came through on my Bluetooth on my way to the office. It was my husband.
"Hey, handsome!"
"Did my lovely lady finally get our girl!? Tell me; I'll have a second wife soon!" Darin teased and joked.
"Not yet, but I'm working on it! You know me so well, love!"
Darin chuckled. "Indeed, I do! So, should I expect you to bring her out to dinner tonight or no? Is she even open to our lifestyle?" Darin quizzed.
"She will be at dinner. I'll make sure of it."
"Yeah, you always get what you want, sweetheart. Alright, well, reservations are at nine tonight. See you, love!" Darin ended the call before I could ask which restaurant to meet at. I'd call him back later.
I don't know how I made it through work without bursting into flames. I had Darin's chocolate, well cut and toned body on my mind, as well as Zara's sensual frame. Damn, those two together would cause me to lose my mind completely. As I headed back to Starbuck's, the rain came down heavier and pelted my Audi as I saw Zara hovered under the shelter of the bus stop. She was pacing back and forth, trying to stay warm. I pulled up beside her and rolled down the window.
"Nice night, we're having, huh?" Zara dipped her body to look down.
"V, what are you doing here?"
"I told you what I wanted." I stared back intently.
"Huh?" She looked puzzled.
"A date, remember? "I shook my head and laughed.
"Oh yeah, you mean tonight? It's pouring! You want to go out tonight?!"
"Uh, yeah, that's why I'm here, sweetheart." She blushed and looked at her watch. She looked back up at me. "Oh, I see how it is. You have somewhere important to be, I see. No time for little ol' me, is there?"
"No, no, it's, never mind. I don't even have a change of clothes on me, and my hair is a big, puffy mess! I can't go anywhere with you, looking like this!"
"Well, if you hop in, maybe I can change that for you." I pushed the door open for her to get in. She stepped in, and I turned on the seat warmers for her. She dropped her purse on the floor, laid her head back, and let out a sigh of relief. I smiled. She was never leaving my side. I would never allow it. She must’ve felt my joyous energy because she turned to me.
“So, where are you taking me?” She asked with a hint of excitement.
“Well, right now, to a lovely park.”
“In this weather!? Why? I’m not getting out in this! Are you joking!?”
I laughed. “No one is getting out, sweetheart. We need to have a little talk, is all.”
“A talk? About what?”
“You’ll see.” I smiled.
