Ezra has a cold

A/N: I don’t own Star wars rebels

It was supposed to be a simple mission, get the data disk and get out of the Imperial compound before the Imperials found out that he was there. Ezra got out easily, but as he was speeding away on the speeder it started to snow and he knew that the other members of the Ghost crew would not be able to get him out once he reach the rendezvous point. As he got to the rendezvous, the snow started to come down harder and he knew that it was going to be a very bad snow storm. Ezra started to panic and send out waves of distress through his and Kanan’s force bond before he developed hypothermia. Kanan could feel Ezra’s distress and he immediately set out in the Phantom alone in order to reach his Padawan before he got hypothermia. When Kanan got to the rendezvous, he could see the speeder that Ezra used to get away from the Imperials frozen up and he could faintly feel his Palawan’s distress. Kanan walked around the speeder where he finds Ezra curl up in a ball trying to keep warm. Kanan could see that Ezra has hypothermia and he knew that he had to get him warm up soon or otherwise he was going to lose his Padawan. Kanan picked Ezra up and force jumped back to the Phantom’s ramp where he closed it tight before he started to wrap Ezra up in a sleeping bag to help him slowly start to warm up. Kanan turn the heat on and he started to look at Ezra to make sure that he had no other injuries and was satisfy when he found none. Ezra stirred a little bit and started to shiver as he try to curl up into a ball. Kanan saw Ezra stirred a little and he took that as a good sign when he saw that he was shivering as well. He laid Ezra down on a couple of the fold up chairs before going to the controls to get the Phantom’s engine going. Kanan try to lift the Phantom up after he had gotten Ezra situated on a few of the fold up chairs that were on the side on the Phantom. He knew that he had to get out of the storm before the Imperials came to look for their thief. Kanan managed to get the Phantom back into space where he linked up with the Ghost. Hera immediately put the ship into hyperspace while Kanan climbed down the ladder while holding Ezra close. Kanan went to his room where he laid Ezra down on his bunk and made sure that he was okay. Kanan said in a gentle voice, “Ezra, wake up.” Ezra stirred again and moaned as he open his tire eyes halfway to find out the source of the gentle voice. Kanan said in that same voice, “Good Ezra, now stay with me.” Ezra started to shiver even harder as he try to ask a question while figuring out where he was. Kanan said, “ Ezra, you are safe. We are back on the Ghost.” Ezra nodded his head as a way to understand that he heard what Kanan had said to him as he slowly dozed off again. Kanan let Ezra doze off and he went out to the kitchen to get some water and he put it by the heater in his room. Kanan laid down next to Ezra watched over the boy while he was sleeping. Each time that Ezra woke up, he was more alert to where he was and Kanan usually use this time to get some water into him. Kanan tried to get Ezra to eat, but the boy barely had the strength to swallow one bite, so Kanan just waited until Ezra was stronger before attempting to get him to eat. Kanan and Ezra were still fast asleep the next day when Hera came to check on them and she smiled when she saw how Ezra was snuggling up against Kanan. She took some pictures before leaving the two Jedi alone to their peaceful slumber. Kanan woke up the next morning and could see that Ezra was still sleeping peacefully, but he had stopped shivering. He took that as a good sign that the hypothermia was put at bay until they could meet back up with the fleet to examine more thoroughly to ensure that he has no lasting effects from the hypothermia. Kanan hummed as he quietly left his room in order to not wake Ezra up from his peaceful sleep. Ezra woke up and he immediately started to shiver again while pulling the blanket up more to cover him. Kanan sensed that Ezra was up and he went to check on the boy to see if he was okay. He finds Ezra shivering very hard as he try to stay warm. It broke Kanan’s heart to see Ezra shivering very hard and he couldn’t get warm no matter how high and tight he pulls the blanket around him. Kanan went to sit next to Ezra and hold the boy close as he force grabbed a few more blankets and wrapped them around Ezra to help him warm up and stop shivering very hard as well. Kanan could feel sight a slight fever from Ezra and he had him take a fever reducer to help while he slowly stopped his shivering. Ezra sighed as he leaned up against Kanan for comfort and for the safety of his Master’s arms. Kanan obliged by wrapping his arms around Ezra and letting the boy snuggle closer to him while knowing what his Padawan wanted. Kanan said,” Rest Ezra, I will be right here for you. I am not going anywhere. I got you.” Ezra let his eyes close as he listened to the steady heartbeat of his Master and knew that Kanan would not let anyone harm him and disturbed him while he was holding him close. Kanan held Ezra close for a few hours while he was sleeping peacefully and he didn’t have the heart to disturbed him while he is sleeping with a peaceful smile on his face. Hera came to check on Kanan while the Ghost was on autopilot when he didn’t come back to the cockpit after checking on Ezra. She smiled at the sight of Kanan holding Ezra closed and she could see that the child was sleeping peacefully while resting his head on Kanan’s chest. Hera left Kanan’s room and went to go make some tea and soup for Ezra and a sandwich for Kanan with a cup of tea as well. Hera came back to Kanan’s room and dropped off the food and drinks on the end table that was next to Kanan’s bunk. She quietly left Kanan’s room to make lunch for the rest of the crew and reminding Zeb to be quiet while Ezra was sleeping since he is loud wherever Chopper zaps him. Kanan gently laid Ezra down and cushion his head in his lap for a few minutes while he eats his lunch. Ezra simply snuggled closer to Kanan and he smiled as he continue to sleep peacefully. Hera joined up with Fulcrum’s ship and let her come onto the Ghost. Kanan finished eating and was about to hold Ezra again when his Padawan woke up from his nap. Ezra yawn as he slowly sat up from his curl up position. Kanan asked,” Feeling any better, Ezra?” Ezra replied,” A little better, Kanan, but hungry.” Kanan smiled and handed Ezra the bowl of soup that Hera made up for him to eat. Kanan felt some more force signature and he said,” Ezra, stay here.” Ezra said, Yes Master,” and continue to eat his lunch while Kanan went to go find out where the other force signatures were coming from and if they meant harm.
